AD had a 35 year old LeBron and dominated the league in his first year

Wade had 4 years of a peak LeBron and only went 2/4 with no memorable playoff moments


So if Wade > AD why did Wade have much less success with a better LeBron? Plus he had Bosh as well

I think youre onto something here.

AD knew his role and let the King be the King.

Wade got impatient and ego maniacal, went hunting for glory on his own. He was supposed to be Michael, but he turned into Sonny and it cost the Family.

That summer his ego got whacked and the team was stronger for it.

Being on the team with by far the worst record in the league in 2008 is really a prominent stain on his career. Two years later LeBron arrived and rescued him from this abyss, before Wade faded into oblivion after LeBron left in 2014.
And the crazy part is that Wade was 3 years younger in 2014 than LeBron is now, when he won his 4th Finals MVP.

I think Wade may be the most overrated player in history.

Because of his fluke run in 06, people think of him as one of the greats. The reality though, is he was a one hit wonder. He would've spent his entire career losing and getting injured on the heat if lebron didn't come save him. He was already on a huge downhill trajectory by the time lebron came to Miami.


Wade is pretty much Gilbert Arenas. 2 or 3 good years, and thats it.
