After what we just saw in the Finals, the consensus seems to be that Lebron has definitely passed MJ as the pure 'greatest basketball player' ever.

But I think there's still this idea out there that MJ is some kind of 'media GOAT' when it comes to basketball. That he's somehow synonymous with the casual fan's image of the game.

And it's true Lebron has been more focused on important things like winning and humanitarian efforts (building schools etc) than things like brand building. But my connections on the inside in Hollywood (For those of you who dont know, I worked as an actor for many years out there) have seen some of the early cuts of this film... and they are already calling it a cinematic masterpiece, for which Lebron was the driving creative force. They are telling me SJ2 is gonna blow people's minds.

I worry about how it will impact MJ psychologically, when this film cements Lebron as the apotheosis of the athlete/actor/activist trifecta. We know Michael's already been prone to hitting the bottle at questionable times of day lately. Losing the GOAT title has weighed on him heavily.

The one thing he still had to cling to was that iconic 'image.' But people in the know are saying Space Jam 2 is going to be a profound, artistic tour de force with an Oscar-worthy performance from LeBestActorInALeadingRole. The original SJ is going to be reduced to a punchline in short order.

And that will be it for him. Lebron will have surpassed him in every facet.

I mean on the one hand I genuinely feel empathy for him. But on the other hand... this is what life is about. Competitive evolution. Greatness is continuously being reinvented and surpassed. MJ had his moment and hopefully he never took it for granted. But his life cycle as GOAT is over. And Lebron's has begun.

i think LeBron's 4th championship in a much more difficult era is the final nail in the coffin. The Film will just be the cherry on top.

2016 was the nail

2020 just extra credit (distancing #1 self from pack)

Space Jam 2 basically pissing on MJs grave (rip James R)

NIck Wright would be on the front row seats on it's premiere then bragging on the next day on Undisputed that it is the greatest movie released during the pandemic era

It's pretty remarkable that LeBron won the title this season right after filming Space Jam 2 because he needed to be at the top of the game in order for that film to reach its maximum box office potential.

The scheduling of the shoot the same year that AD joined him in Los Angeles is not a coincidence.

By the way...

Jordan made Space Jam with no pressure. Whether it performed well or tanked wasn't going to matter. But since Space Jam is now a classic, obviously Space Jam 2 has to be good or else.

But LeBron eats pressure for breakfast. Space Jam 2 will undoubtedly be better than the original.

standard MJ chip

some conference speedbumps with virtually no real Finals threat

there's a reason why it was crucial to overhype 17 year playoff losers in Malone n Stockton as Ordans greatest challenge

his iconic playoff moments were a freethrow over Craig '9ppg' Ehlo and a stiff-arm on Byron '7ppg' Russel :oldlol:

Thought of stopping to read here, but I thought lets see what else this clown has written based on his opening. I wasn't disappointing, this is a HOF dumbness post. Highlights include being an actor in Hollywood and Space Jam 2 being a cinematic masterpiece. highly recommended to keep reading, it really offers an insight into how retarded Bran stans actually are.

Nah much worse than any of mj's other than maybe 96 and even that is a stretch. Give me 96 kemp over any heat player. Every team mj faced had at least one superstar. most had 2

I will be very interested to see how this film plays out.

Will he collude with the Monstars after getting blown out in the first half?

History says yes.

it was very dishonest of the producers not making pippen the star of the first space jam.

good thing they have the chance to get it right this time.

IMO they also need to put an easter egg in the movie about the clippers choking a 3-1 lead

Better acting, better body control, AND better choreography.

It's like Brando meets Jackie Chan. LeGOAT :applause:
