I hope the Lakers can still re-sign him. But it won't suprise me if some teams offer him a better contract.

Rondo deserves a ton of money and I hope he gets it.

Rondo was the key to the Houston series.

If Rondo can get through regular season Lakers won't find a better player. Elite point guard who can create for himself or team, play off ball & great defender.
Interesting this year Lakers happy to play 3 point guards on court at end of games; Lebron, Rondo & Caruso. Emphasis on defence & playmaking over shooting

Lakers are planning to draft Devon Dotson. The kid averaged 18/5/5 in college. A good defender, and shooter.

The Lakers has the Early Bird Rights for Rondo. They can use it to pay Rondo 105% of the league average salary or they can pay up to 175% of his previous salary.

Rondo definitely deserves money based on how he played this PO.

Rondo is probably in between getting a good contract that's not max and def wanting to be on a winning team.

I can see a 2--3 year deal where he averages $8-9M a year enough but with that comes, multiple regular season games off. He's at a point where he rather play playoff ball than long seasons.

Rondo aint finding a better fit for him to contend again, this Lakers role is perfect at his age and miles

Anywhere else its heavy lifting Sac and NO all over again

Missed 30 games and still won a chip

Rondo net-worth is 35million, unfortunately I think an offer of 8-9 million will attract him elsewhere.
I hope he stays though along with AD/KCP/MORRIS/Howard.

Knicks finally get their allstar! Of course he hasn’t been an allstar since 2013 but we won’t tell Knicks fans that ;)

He fits eith the Lakers, hope he stays if affordable.

Either he just wants to get paid and play in a losing team or possibly sign with a contending team like Clippers. That would be scary actually since they lack a leader/voice.

Or resign with Lakers

Just when you start to count on him.

I imagine he resigns. Who is gonna pay him more than the lakers? He's only useful as "playoff Rondo" to a true contender and none of those teams have cap space.

Clippers need to offer a 2 year deal. He would get a starting role over Beverly.

Could he be what the wolves are missing? Assuming Wolves package Malik Beaseley/Culver plus fillers plus #1 pick for Beal or Booker. Would Rondo bring that veteran leadership needed there and get them contending?

This is a non-story.

Of course he opted out. His contract was for the league minimum.

Doesn't necessarily mean he's leaving LA.

There's a reason why he's been in 5 teams in 6 years. Which team is going to overpay when he doesnt produce during the regular season? He's not a gaurantee fit and will become playoff Rondo when post season comes.

Rondo gave up on his teammate when in the Mavs(look it up). He is that guy in the park who always screams for the ball whenever team gets the rebound.

Unless your Davis/Lebron, I can see why its difficult to play with him. Might be a fluke year where he's actually shooting and making 3s.

He said he doesn't care about money, he only wants to compete for championships. Maybe a more team friendly deal to stay with the Lakers. (I have no clue what he was making anyways)

Really hope he joins the Warriors. Desperate need of some depth.

Again, his player option was for the league minimum.

He'd be the dumbest guy on earth if he didn't opt out.

He seems to prefer 1 year deals. Will probably sign one similar to 2018. 1 yr, $9 mil.

This is a non-story morons. Lakers can offer him 175% of his salary. He's staying :facepalm The guy thanked Vogel for believing in him and has talked about wanting to win more and play with LeBron. Retards mentioning Clippers lmfao.
