I took the Game Score of each Game 7 played by the players below and then averaged it out. Here are the results.

#1. LeBron, 27.3
#2. Durant, 24.9
#3. Bird, 24.4
#3. Jordan, 24.4
#5. Magic, 23.0
#6. Hakeem, 21.5
#7. Duncan, 19.4
#8. Shaq, 19.1
#9. Kareem, 18.4
#10. Kobe, 16.5
#11. Kawhi, 12.8

*One of Kareem's game 7's came in 1988 when he was 40, if we eliminated that game his average jumps to #2 at 25.1

Top 5 Best:
LeBron, 38.8 (2018 1st round)
Kareem, 36.8 (1977 WCSF)
Duncan, 36.2 (2006 WCSF)
LeBron, 32.8 (2008 ECSF)
LeBron, 32.5 (2013 Finals)

Top 3 Worst:
Kareem, -1.7 (1988 WCF)
Kawhi, 7.3 (2020 WCSF)
Kawhi, 7.8 (2015 1st round)
Duncan, 7.8 (2008, WCSF)

LeGoat wins again it seems.

Kawhi's game 7 vs 76ers was the greatest in history.

- 11.8 BPM

- 48% usage

- 41 points

- buzzer beater game winner

2015/2020 were series that shouldn't have gone 7 but tony parker and montrezl harrell the supposed 3rd best players were playing like g league players.

 for doing the homework. Interesting info, especially when you adjust KAJ by taking out 88' for obvious reasons.

He had 48% usage and the best he could muster was 41 points?

39 shots.41% from the field, 22% from 3, 48% TS ( thank Christ for his free throws to get that high) 8 rebounds, 3 assists ( negated by 4 turnovers), -2. And a final shot aided by the basketball gods who determined Toronto deserved to win on this day.

And you're saying nobody in 75 years of NBA basketball has ever played better than this in a game 7??

Bill Russell is the best. Routinely played above his norm and never lost a game 7.

Good call, Kareem is second GOAT in game 7 performances after the update. I also include KG, Barkley, and Dirk as they all feel like top 20 players to me. Here are the updated #s:

Who else can I add to the search? I can't do older players like Dr. J, Jerry West Russell, Robertson because GameScore tracks things they didn't keep track of back then. Who else is top 20 worthy to add to the search?

Sir Charles has the best Game 7 in playoffs history, LeBron has #2 (and three games with a Game Score above 30.0, no one else has more than 1).
