It's clear that there was conflict between ownership and front office on improving the squad versus saving money. Additionally, it looks like Fertitta will have free reign going forward to prioritize his wishes, which is to maximize profit over winning.

With the Nets, Warriors, and various Western squads expected to improve next year, is Houston's championship window closed?
