Michael Jordan only had three Game 7 games in his playoff career.

It just shows how great Jordan was to basically never allowing a series go to game 7 lol.

Yeah he didn't get too far, only made the Finals 6 times. Plus he usually ducked out in the 1st round three times but it's all good. He wasn't much for Game 7 performance anyway as you can see.

Only made the finals 6 times but yet won more than Lebron with more league mvp's and more finals mvp's in less years with no bronze medals.

His game 7 vs. the Clippers in 2015 was equally bad

13/10/1/0/0 on 38% like what? 1 assist. Zero steals. Zero blocks. 38%. 13 points. His rebounds saved him from having the worst game 7 in NBA history :lol

Yeah I saw that too.

If anyone else has any players you want me to include let me know! As I said earlier I can't do older players in the top 25 because Game Score wasn't available then, so guys like Jerry West and Bill Russell and Oscar Robertson and Wilt are hard to add.

Any others feel free to let me know! LeBron leads all game 7 performers. Kareem is second best, and KD is 3rd.

Thank you for sharing this and putting in the work. I believe Bill Russell played in 12 or 13 game 7 contests and his team won every game 7! Perhaps someone can verify that? If true that is impressive no matter what era.

Using elimination games is more accurate and mj is much closer if you use that. The other thing is Game score like most advanced stats can be misleading. It heavily favors ball dominant players. Its why guys like harden and westbrook can be number 1 in game score but they're never anywhere close to the best players in the league.

True, true. He had a lot of sub par Game 7 performances that really dragged his average down. For example:

1986, ECSF, 15.5
1994, WCSF, 21.8
1995, WCSF, 14.8
1997, WCSF, 16.4

1995 Barkley blew a 3-1 lead and had a horrific game 5 and game 7.

Not really. Barkley's back injury in 1993-94 almost caused him to retire. Even though he was only 31, he had lost a lot of athleticism and explosiveness. Also Kevin Johnson and Barkley was a little bit of Westbrook-Durant situation in terms of Barkley clearly being the better player and Johnson never seeing a shot he didn't like in the playoffs. Barkley did have a poor game five, but he had monster 30.8 game score in Game 6, but the rest of the teams was awful. Barkley hardly touched the ball in game 7 because KJ took damn near 30 shots.

Barkley really only played one season on a great team in his prime in his career and that was in 1993 when he took MVP. After he hurt his back, Barkley was still an all-star level player mainly because he was just that big of a freak, but he wasn't nearly the same player with that could give you the kind offensive production and take over for long stretches. I guess you could say the Suns were still good team in 1994 and 1995, but Barkley was just past his athletic prime by that point. The difference in athleticism between 1988 Barkley and 1994-95 Barkley isn't even really close, and Barkley was a guy that relied on his athleticism probably more so than most superstars due to the nature of his game and his ability to use his combo crazy quickness and size to exploit different positional match-ups. I mean, the dude was a nightmare to guard. If you put a big man on him, he would just go around him, and he would wipe the floor with smaller defenders, but the common denominator that made it all work was Barkley's incredible quickness. After the back injury he never really had that kind of explosive quickness again, so Hakeem never really got a prime Barkley, and really the Suns had any decent scorer besides KJ they take both those series anyway, i.e. CC had managed to return to form after injury in 1994 or Manning not getting hurt in 1995.

Anyway, those Suns teams other than Charles and KJ were just meh in my book. I still say Majerle was so damn awful in the 1994 series he should have been investigated by the league office for point shaving. Majerle had a 143 minute on the court stretch against Houston in which he posted an average of 4 PPG....2 TRB....2 AST.......12 3P%.......15 FG% on 6 of 34 from the field. Nobody can win with that from your starting 2/3 guard. Nobody. In 1995 Barkley had a rookie Wesley Person and Marjele was still awful and Hakeem had teamed up with an elite player in Drexler, so 3-1 doesn't matter all that much in my book.

No doubt that Kawhi's choking game score is remarkably low. But let's not forget "15.9 ppg in the playoffs" Wade being even lower. LeBron won 2 chips/FMVPs with him being the clear #2 guy.
Still can't believe how high LeBron's score is compared to everyone else's.
