Pre-Injury Elgin (looks laterally quicker), and prime Jack Twyman (1st player along side Wilt Chamberlain to crack 30ppg) putting on a shooting clinic:

Twyman is pretty forgotten but he had huge numbers in his prime. Also a great and loyal friend who took care of Maurice Stokes after Stokes became disabled due to injury.

Jack was a great man and during those racist times to do something of that nature for Maurice makes his act of kindness for me even greater.

They wouldn't make it in today's NBA.

Klay Thompson and James Harden do more than just make it in today's NBA. Squint your eyes and there's little discernible differences here at least from this one gametape. Not saying they'd for sure be comparable by any means but certainly watching that specific tape doesn't indicate they couldn't be that good. Watching tape of them looks... more or less the same as some modern great players.

They look like they play with very close to near as makes little difference skill sets and physical tools - what are your thoughts on that?

They don't even look human. They look like some form of primitive apes.

What are you talking about :oldlol:

They're not even humans

Baylor had a very modern and enjoyable type of playing. You would be seeing something new from him every game. He'd be doing incredible things if he could play in the last few decades. And Twyman was also more modern than many would expect, as well, he had modern range and style of shooting, despite trying set shots from time to time.

(OT. Hippoponymous, your old threads have been deleted, so may I ask as a repost that photo you had once posted that superimposed '73 Wilt and Shaq at the Chicago stadium standing under the same basket?)
