- Steve Scully announced publicly as moderator of second Presidential Debate
- Trump and his base criticize Scully as the choice for moderator due to his connection to Biden
- Trump and his base accuse Scully saying he will be unfair in questioning of Trump during the debate
- Scully reaches out (on Twitter) to fired Trump campaign member Anthony Scaramucci in an attempt to get dirt on Trump
- The tweet makes the news and proves Trump and his supporters right that Scully was never going to be fair
- Scully denies he tweeted out to Scaramucci. Says his Twitter was hacked.
- FBI and Twitter both get involved to investigate if Scully's Twitter was indeed hacked
- Scully, at the realization that the FBI was getting involved, came out and admitted that he had lied about the hack
- C-Span suspends Scully indefinitely
