Lebron had 2 bronze medals before he ever played with Kobe in the Olympics and Kobe showed him how to win. Before that he had bronze medals Lebronze James. If this is not accurate prove me wrong. Show me what medal Lebron got in 2004 and in 2006 in FIBA.

LeBron was the 10th or 11th guy on the 2004 team. Where was Tim Duncan, the best player on the team and squarely in his prime, Duncan21formvp? The bronze is a weird talking point for a Duncan fan but you have been doing this for a decade.

We talking about Lebron here not Duncan. Duncan isn't in the GOAT conversation.

To me Duncan is but for most he isn't.

If Larry Brown played LeBron more they dont get bronze. He played less than 10 minutes combined in their losses to Lithuania and Argentina.

It's actually pretty amazing seeing the lengths these idiots go to to downgrade LeBron. You watch it play out and these fools just keep digging their own hole deeper and deeper while displaying that they know jack shit about the game. Why do these guys have it in for LeBron so much? What's he done to them? I can't even imagine hating some stranger so much because he is successful. It's unbelievable.

They hate because when they were younger they were very impressionable to Jordan / Kobe, their era meant something to them personally.

Now LeBron comes along and here is a player better than their favorite player of their era.

So they do what low IQ humans do, they hate.

Lebron's game doesn't translate well to international basketball ~ AKA real basketball. No bullshit 3 second defense rule and true zone allowed.

Kobe was a basketball genius. He single handedly brought us back from bronze to gold in 2008 with his performance against Spain.

Ttrols doesn't know anything about the Olympics. He claimed Pippen didn't play PG on the 92' team (which would mean they didn't have a PG for nearly all the 55% of the game Magic was off the court since Stockton played only 7 MPG :lol ).

I think this is spot on. You need to translate to international basketball to be the true GOAT which means no bronze medals.

Kobe didn’t do sh-t.

LeBron became a much better player between age 19 and age 23.

Important to note that Coach K did not appoint a team captain for the Redeem Team, but a captain emerged.

LeBron was the only player among several All-NBA All-Stars to take the initiative and take the captaincy.

“I knew it had to come from someone. No matter how good we are as individuals, if you don’t have a leader, it’s not going to be right. I just took that responsibility from day one.”

FACT: The leader of the 2008 Olympic team was LeBron James.

Other noteworthy quotes:

“‘LBJ was the leader,’ said a source with first-hand knowledge of the team's inner workings. ‘He always brought Kobe and others back to the group. He set the tempo every day and made sure to keep everyone together when it counted.’”

“On a team where Bryant practiced hard on his own but didn't necessarily hang out with the group, James made his presence felt.”

“For me to lead 11 other superstars, I have to kind of have that chip on my shoulder.”

“Like any good leader, he also knows when to take a gentler approach.”

“James has not just embraced his role as the quarterback of the U.S. defense, which has decimated opponents in Beijing, or his desire to be heard on the court and in the locker room. He has a put a chokehold on those things.”

“He has cajoled his teammates, reminding Dwight Howard to push himself more and telling Kobe Bryant to quit gambling so much for steals.”

Kobe is the only reason the USA won back its Gold Medals, after LeHype James single handedly DESTROYED Americas reputation as the Worldwide leader in basketball.
