Dirk scored 22ppg on 40% in the 2011 finals, with no playmaking or defense

That ring is putrid, and was only achieved because of Wade's egomaniacal meltdown where he froze out lebron and ruined the entire team's rapport.

2016 LeBron is my choice

Lebron 2016 had a guy who outplayed the other teams best player who was the unanimous MVP. Dirk in 2011 wasn't even great in the finals and 2003 Duncan had D Robinson. I'd say Hakeem 1994 or MJ 1998 considering Pippen's injury.

LeBron had to lead both teams in every stat, which is unheard of, so he had the greatest carry job

Did Duncan lead both teams in the Finals in points, rebounds, assists, steals, blocks?

Lebron didn't play against an elite PG or Big man. He played a team with a 6'7" center and also had to get a guy suspended to win.

Kyrie outplayed the league mvp at his position. And hit the game winner over him creating his own shot.

to be fair it's not hard to outplay stephen curry in the finals, generally 2-3 teammates and opposing players do it per Finals tradition. van vleet, dellavedova, kyrie, take your pick. everyone eats

People really do forget how good Jason Terry was in games 5 and 6 while Dirk was meh. It certainly wasn't a "Dirk carried" championship when Terry, Kidd and Stephenson were making every 3 they threw up in that series.

Word and dont forget Tyson DPOY Chandler

Mavs were strong that year

4-0 swept Kobe
4-1 Durant/Westbrook
4-2 LeBron. Bron was lucky to get 2 wins. Defending Champ Kobe got 0, KD/Russ 1

2003 Duncan and 2011 Dirk had all-defensive 2nd team members.
2016 LeBron had a team with no individual awards of honors whatsoever, and he had a #2 guy who has been proven to make the teams he's on worse with him than they are without him.

Has to be 2016 LeBron. His opponent was a legendary boss on nightmare level difficulty.

Dirk and Duncan had it easy.

Those LeBron stats are crazy. I expect people will appreciate them more in the long run. And to answer the question, you cannot compare Duncan's run in 2003 to the 2011 or 2016 championships.

Kyrie scored 41 points in a game in the nba finals 2016 plus Draymond got suspended because Lebron cried to Silver. 2016 don't even belong on the list.

2003 Duncan wins for me because he carried his Spurs on both ends of the floor. Then 2011 Dirk takes second place for carrying on offense. Then 2016 Lebron who had Kyrie.

Kyrie was elevated thanks to LeBron bird-feeding him and having all the defensive attention

The guy that ended probably the most dominant 3 peat of the modern era...

2003 Champ Spurs - Rounding up
Duncan - 25/15/5/3, 53%
Tony - 15/3/4, 40%
Stephen - 13/4/3, 41%
Manu - 9/4/3, 39%
Robinson - 8/7, 54%
Malik Rose - 9/6, 42%

VS

Shaq = 27/15/4, 54%
Kobe = 32/5/5, 43%
+ the Lakers main supporting players combined for about 32ppg

Honestly speaking, Irving's 2016 Finals performance was good enough to win FMVP for more than half of the finals series in the history.
