Who says that they would have to give up Rondo for him? If they do, then that's a no.
But if they can get him for that bum Kuzma, then hell yes.
He is injury prone though, there's no denying that. But the risk-vs-reward of his injury compared to the certainty of Kuzma's suckage is worth taking.

But before him, they should see if there is any way they can get Oladipo.

Agree 100%. Rondo is a low-key very important player in the team right now. His defense and leadership are of invaluable worth.

He's not going. He's settled in Detroit, hes playing in his perfect role, the perfect minutes, under a coach who trusts him and with lots of shooters around him. The franchise loves his leadership and performance and he is an inspiration to the young players. For the Pistons to trade him against his wishes, they would need to receive a crazy package involving both Caruso, Kuzma and some picks. The Pistons are rebuilding and don't want any of the other old players of the Lakers. And it would be against his wishes, Rose has never been a ring chaser and has no reason to put up with Lebron's whims after what he pulled in Clevelend. So, not gonna happen.

btw Rose is still light years ahead of Rondo with regards to creating his own shot and jump shooting.

Rose won't make it to the playoffs, and if he does he won't make it through round 1. If Rondo leaves i'd rather start putting the rookie to use he actually showed flashes of greatness against Houston. Could be the next Caruso.

Yeah, Buddy Hield would be a way better fit with LeBron. He would get 6-7 open three pointers per game.
Rose would be a great addition for the regular season though. He could carry the game in the brief stretches where neither LeBron nor AD are playing.

Rose never took off at Cleveland because of injuries and Lebron didn't want to wait for him to get fit.

I say no, always injured and needs the ball in his hands to be who he is, DRose. Great for the regular season but once playoff comes, he has no 3pt shot, terrible defence, no thanks.
