View Full Version : 1 Title in 11 Years for the franchise that drafted you

If someone is truly the GOAT how do you get only 1 title in 11 years for the franchise that drafted you?

Some franchises like the Spurs, Bulls, Rockets never won anything prior and they got stars and won multiple titles.
Hell Kawhi in one year got a title for a franchise that never won.

Shaq playing 11 years in Orlando would get that or more.
Isiah even got more titles than that

Why is Kawhi in this discussion after blowing a 3-1 lead in epic fashion?

Cleveland's best years: the LeBron years
Miami's best years: the LeBron years

Before LeBron, the Cavs' had never made a finals and their GOAT was Mark Price.

I think they are fine with the results. :lol

Don't you guys just get tired of making stupid threads to bash LeBron? I mean, you really, really search to come up with absurd points.

After Kawhi demanded the Clippers empty out the entire future of draft picks for Paul George.

Kawhi is demanding that the team play "smarter" and get a point guard.

Maybe the team would be able to play "smarter" if Kawhi wasn't such a mute on the court.

How many titles did that franchise have before said franchise player?

Kawhi brought a ring to Raptors in 1 year

LeBron brought a ring to cavs in 11 years

Raps won 50+ games before Kawhi arrived and after. Thoughts?

And that title came with another pair of allstars, by way of "teaming up". :oldlol: LeBron's first 7 years he went O-fer. Truth is LeBron can't build dynasties unless he has established talent and decks stacked.

Did MJ win without Pippen? Isn’t basketball a team sport? You are a dummy

Don't try adding logic to these arguments.

Correlation does not imply causation. You're a clown with nothing to add here :oldlol:

Those places aren't Cleveland and Kawhi didn't win anything in Cleveland either. He went to a contender.

Besides, LeBron has won titles within the first 2 years of joining three different franchises.

Joined Miami in 2010-11, won in 2011-12.
Joined Cleveland in 2014-15, won in 2015-16.
Joined Los Angeles in 2018-19, won in 2019-20.

Let's see Shaq or Kawhi do that.

Lebron joined forces with multiple stars three times. First with Wade/Bosh and then Kyrie/Love and then Anthony Davis/Dwight/Rondo.

Not to mention Lebron did have 2 bronze medals as well.

Raptors were a 55+ win team when Kawhit left and actually won LESS games in 2019 compared to 2018 with Kawhit there. (59 to 58) Cavs on the other hand? Went from 61 wins to 19 wins when LeBron left...but yeah, the situations were actually the same, but Bran just couldn't get it done...Moron.

Lebron never left teams that had just won the title so that is different.

He won more than 1 title in 11 years for the franchise that drafted him. He did much better than that. Also took a team that never won to a title.

Frankly speaking, the Cavs are a shit franchise, Lebron taking them to 1 title was already a serious accomplishment. Other than MJ and perhaps Magic, I fail to see any other players leading them to more than 1 title.

Lebron didn’t even make the playoffs with the Lakers until Anthony Davis came. But that is irrelevant. Lebron got one title in 11 years with the franchise that drafted him. Eli Manning won more than that.:facepalm

LeBron has more FMVP's than either Duncan or Kawhi though
