Nice.
Giving up Kuz, 28th pick, Kieff, Rondo, McGee/Howard
Just what they need. Ideal roster.
What the hell are you babbling about

Don’t forget Melo off the bench. Maybe Dwyane Wade can come out of retirement for a year and have the full banana boat team gunning for a ring

I don't like the sound of getting CP3 at all. That would mean Rondo out, they hate each others' guts. And Rondo was very, very important for their success.

Yeah I prefer depth.
Having Rondo / Green / Kuzma / KCP is more important than adding CP3.

Rondo was important for their success because he can do the things LeBron does in terms of running an offense. But Chris Paul can also do those LeBron-like things and often better than Rondo because CP3 is a better scorer.
So the Lakers would lose nothing in terms of leadership, floor generalship, bball IQ and passing if they replace Rondo with Chris Paul, but they would get a boost in scoring and defense.

Chris Paul earns $40m+ and Hield $20m+. Where are the lakers finding 60m of good players outside LeBron and AD to make this happen?

OP has a mental capacity of a 13 year old. I'm sure even if somehow these trades were possible he'd think the lakers could add Giannis.

In all seriousness, the Lakers should be allowed some kind of sizable cap exception next season as a reward for winning in the bubble and saving the NBA from a shut down.

I agree that CP3 is a better player but he's also really close to Lebron. One of the main things Vogel had as a coach was an ORG that backed him and a great PG who could work with Lebron and still hold him accountable. You let Lebron lead roster decisions around his close friends and you get Cleveland all over again with Success but resentment and control.
If I'm Pelinka, I keep Rondo and pay him 2 years at $7-8M a year(Hopefully he takes it) and I get a little younger at SF while evaluating which vets I'd want to keep on the team. if Golden State wants to take Dwight Howard, let them over pay.
Lakers need to add some depth. Adding CP3, Kwame Brown, and bringing back Dwight Howard would guarantee another ESPN Championship, err NBA Championship.

As far as quickness, I'd still say Rondo is quicker than Paul defensively and longer.
The fact this is being talked about sounds like Pelinka sees Rondo playing hard ball. Guessing rondo wants a 1-2 year deal at $10-12M a year. Clippers will push for Rondo hard.
