Yeah, data also tells us Democrats are curbstomping Republicans so far in mail in ballots and early voting. I'm still curious as to what actually changed in their tax plan. Biden is on record in this campaign, I believe 3 separate times saying that he'll definitely raise peoples taxes, even directly at a town hall question.
Not long after Trump started pointing this out, and I assume it polled bad internally having this plan, media then reported that no, it's only for the +400K.
What plan did they have before and how did they assume it was going to work? Joe was set on raising taxes for everyone prior to that and argued it as what is needed.

It also does not all go to the state of NY.. You are combining federal tax and state tax together. The top state income tax bracket is bit over 8%. The rest is federal tax. Keep in mind that is the highest tax bracket and very very few people actually pay that. Even then, there are deductibles, credits, loopholes and tax rates that are much lower if you were to invest the money in stock market or something so nobody would pay even close to 62%. People making over $400k will invest so their income rates will be significantly lower if they invest properly & have a good CPA.

I know this ****ing family of 3. Since the Covid started, they have been staying at home in the mother's basement. leeching off unemployment. I definitely wouldnt want to leave my life in the USA to start a new life in Cuba, but all things considered I think its pretty impressive what they have accomplished... especially considering the entire western world has refused to trade with them for the past ~70 years

That's not entirely true, Mexico continued doing business with Cuba even after the US imposed the economic embargo on them, much to the chagrin of the US government. That explains why so many Cubans exiles loathe Mexico too, they saw them as enablers to the communist government...on the flipside, Cuban people from the island love Mexico and they are familiar with Mexican culture. Mexico argued that the Cuban people have the right to self determination as any other on Earth.

Let me clarify, I don't have a problem with the Cuban people from the island but the exiles living in the US are not a popular group of people amongst Latinos of any background. I think you are confusing the Patriot act with the FISA act.. Trump has threatened to veto the FISA act, which is only a tiny portion of the Patriot act (I think the two were separated when the Patriot Act expired in 2015 but I'm not certain)
