Exactly, especially the ones with pat riley. Lakers offense was built around magic during Showtime era. Kareem had 1 all time great MVP year with magic only in 1980 but failed to play in close out game or win finals mvp. 1970s he was always losing besides the year Jerry West was injured.

That didn't dispute my point at all. Kareem lost in the ABA era plenty of years. Jokic would average 30 points 15 rebounds in the 1970s

I don't agree with your OP although you are right about AD/LeBron. Davis outscored LeBron per game, out-rebounded and out-shotblocked him while anchoring LA's defense. Had more winshares too if you want to make it analytical. What is your take on AD not being talked about in the same light?
