I usually watch Netflix, hulu, etc on my PS4 but I got a roku last week and have to say I'm loving, I never had a firestick though, but to those who have had both what are the pros and cons for each streaming device? Which do you prefer?

You can hack a firestick easier. I have it set in the living room but do most my watching on the nvidia shield in my bedroom. I've got a flash drive plugged in and I can download and transfer any show/movie over in a minute. Not to mention IPTV works perfectly.
Of course if you don't want to do any hacking, the Roku is easier out of the box.

Happy with the latest 4K firestick. As imdaman said, it's very easy to install 3rd party apps that give you access to movie, tv, music, etc libraries.

Don't get Roku. It's closed-source so will never allow 3rd party software like Kodi if you ever decide to in future.
Firestick is better but look into Google stick

Firestick. Kodi
Kodi sucks now. Checkout CinemaHD

I'm a cord cutter and have 4 4k firesticks set up in my house. I have two set up with flash drives for extra memory. Cinema is my primary movie and show source. CatMouse is my back up. I couldn't be happier with the results. I use https://troypoint.com/ for all the latest apps and tutorials for devices like roku, firestick, and nvidia shield. Roku is limited, not bad, but limited.

I've been using Roku for years. Mostly because it's built into my TCL 65" TV. But honestly I wouldn't use either of them if it wasn't built in. I'd use Chromecast Google TV.

Nvidia Shield > Apple TV 4k > Chromecast Google TV > Fire Stick 4k

Apple tv doesn't allow kodi or other 3rd party apps like cinemaHD. Best to avoid Apple tv and Roku.

That's not an add on for kodi?

Not sure. I stopped using Kodi when the FBI went after the provider sites. CinemaHD is a stand-alone app.

Oh because I thought I seen it as one.
I gotta upgrade my firetv box. It's getting old and slow.
Got a firestick from a former coworker I need to install kodi for

Is there a way to use Android Apps on FireStick, such as using Bluestacks Emulator on a computer?

yes. Install the "Downloader" application, you can search it from the homepage.
Then launch it and you can input links to download .apks (3rd party apps need to be allowed 1st in the firestick settings)

I just stream through my smart tv. They have all the apps now. Never actually used a roku so I voted firestick since I have. It wasn't mine, but when I moved a couple years ago someone gave it to me to use amazon prime. I just connected to my own account on my smart tv.
