Reading between the lines here...I think he's admitting he woulda got caught on some shady shit off the court. He already had the whole gambling thing and then his Father's stuff that may or may not have been related. Can't be winning rings if you're in prison

It’s clear he isn’t afraid of the constant shit talking that goes on on social media these days. He’s more concerned about ‘privacy’ meaning scandals and shit. MJ probably wouldn’t have a social media account tbh. There are quite a few athletes and celebrities who steer clear of social media and id like to believe MJ would be one of them in his playing days. Also most nba players agree social media is a ‘disease’ that has had a negative effect on them, so it’s kinda dumb to call MJ ‘weak’ on this when today’s players can’t even handle it.

I got called a troll for saying Jordan couldn't handle the social media era

Straight from the ponys mouth... :oldlol:

Jordan wouldn't make the NBA in this era, that's how mentally fragile he is

I dont know why people bring up hypothetical of MJ in this era when we know he'd be a loser like his worthless sons.

This is something i definitely can't argue. Mj was flawed as a human being. He was a degenerative gambler, an adulterer and a sell out. He would get crucified from all sides if he was the same way in this era.

honestly who didn't know this? everything he did off the court was a joke, would get roasted from social media to irrelevancy.

MJ was far too gangster for this era lol... He'd no doubt catch heat for dong something ballsy. Y'all know me... I don't believe in cover ups or storylines. MJ very likely got his pops capped for refusing to pay big gambling debts to people with assasination connections AKA the Mob. And with his ego and world wide clout, he thought they'd never touch his fam, but they did.

Jordan is mentally weaker than LeBron.

MJ admitted in episode 6 of The Last Season that after only 3 Finals he was physically and mentally exhausted, with diminished hunger and a dull edge.

He also admitted that criticism was one of the things that made him run away from the game.

MJ, the notorious trash talker, could dish it but he couldn't take it. The slightest amount of scrutiny made him crack.

Media: Hey, this gambling stuff is taking some shine off of your reputation.

MJ: Stop picking on me! *runs away crying*

Magic to the media in 1993, according to The Last Dance:

"You guys are going to drive him out of this game if you keep this up, because he's tired of it. He's tired of you guys picking on him."

"He's tired of you guys picking on him."

So he quit.

Wow.

Either he got his dad killed over gambling debts and had a suspension imposed on him by Stern, or he quit because people were picking on him.

Bad look either way. He can dish out though can't he? Calling Krause "crumbs" and making fun of his weight, but he didn't like that finger pointed at him for anything. Typical bully.

His humility is not genuine. The man has a humongous ego. Not that there is anything wrong with that.

"Jordan stopped talking to reporters May 26, a day after a published report said he was at an Atlantic City casino until 2 a.m. the night before Game 2 of the Eastern Conference finals and lost $5,000. He admitted being in Atlantic City but disputed the amount of his losses and the time he supposedly left.

Michael Jordan ended his media boycott before Game 1 of the NBA Finals, telling NBC Sports he does not have a gambling problem.

"I just felt that it was unfair that I was being considered a criminal for doing something that is not illegal," Jordan said yesterday. "Gambling is legal, betting is legal."

Jordan approached an NBC crew and requested the interview shortly after he and the Chicago Bulls arrived at America West Arena.

When asked by interviewer Ahmad Rashad if he had a gambling problem, Jordan said: "I enjoy it. It's a hobby. If I had a problem, I'd be starving. I'd be hocking this watch, my championship rings. I'd sell my house, my wife would have left me or she would have been starving. I do not have a problem."
