This team will be an interesting watch. Rookie HC and assistant who for all intent and purposes are "player coaches".

well with how much of a locker room cancer kyrie is, they will need someone zen like Nash to deal with him. plus, durant nor kyrie are alpha leaders like Bron, so they will need to rely on a leader like Nash even though he will be off court.

Raja Bell said Nash asked him to join as well.

Just need Shawn Marion and Diaw to have the whole band back together :oldlol:

The knicks must be wondering why he chose the nets.

I’m down on bkn overall but be happy to see Kyrie and kd just spam the pnpop, should be one of the better plays in basketball.

Honestly don’t think gs and cle did it nearly enough with curry/kd and Kyrie/lebron.

I would prefer to have more experienced coaches dealing with Kyrie and Durant than a couple of rookie coaches, to be honest. You get two Top 10-Top 20 players to play for your team and you are not going to spend money in hiring a veteran, proven Head Coach and assistants? I am seeing some awkward hires this off-season, with Doc going to the Sixers, Lue to the Clippers and this. Let's see how they turn out, maybe they will make me eat my words.

Do you think they should have hired D'Antoni instead? But still, i think nash has a potential to be a better coach than what ty lue has been without lebron.

i wouldn't hire dantoni. lue or doc. doc dropped the ball BIG TIME by choking to the nuggz. dantoni's system has not worked. lue was a proxy for Lebron. so who did you want that is a veteran coach? those guys have proven that despite having the pieces, they cannot lead them to win. lue is not as good as he seems. he's lucky he had lebron carrying him.

The best play in basketball is giving lebron james the ball and letting him make every decision...

I wasn't talking about hiring D'Antoni, Doc or Lue. I was referring to guys like Rick Carlisle, Erik Spoelstra or Tom Thibaudeau. But they already have a team, aren't there more experienced coaches in the market? Off the top of my head, Avery Johnson, Mark Jackson or George Karl. What I mean is that having that team as your first coaching experience can be very challenging, the same way coaching the Lakers in the 18-19 was difficult for Luke Walton.

George Karl is probably 70 and the others are trash..
