He left 2011 on the table for sure. And it could end up hurting him in GOAT discussions because one extra title can mean a lot.

I don't mean just as a stain but say he wins one more title with the Lakers. That puts him at 5 which is still less than the other GOAT's. 6 would be a lot better.

I would actually have him win more than half of his NBA finals to even consider him GOAT.
For him to do that he has to win four straight as the best player.
Which I don't think he can. But I would love to see it happen tbh.

I believe that is the primary reason why gets so much flak from old school players.
