Of course, you need to add something more to the mix but think about it.
Why rockets do it:
Ben Simmons can run the show from the post area, no big man clogging the lane
The team is built with shooters for spacing making it easy for Simmons to operate
The rockets become younger, they are never winning again without a rebuild
Why Sixers do it:
You finally get the spacing you need
You add a superb scorer
You can now take advantage of Embiid ability to shoot with the pick and pop or pick and roll.
You could also consider adding Al Horford and Westbrook into the trade so the Rockets get a center.

I like Harden with Embiid, but dont know how that mental would mix :confusedshrug: If Ben Simmons were to "hypothetically" improve his jumpshot, Philly would never recover from that trade.

Rockets have no reason to do that trade

He won't. Just look at Rajon Rondo and Jason Kidd on how much they improved on their 3 pointer. It's not much. Then you see that Summons does not have anything close to what they had starting out, and they were bad.
Rockets have no reason to do that trade
Why not? They are not winning in the west anytime soon with that team. I think they should rather rebuild or at least build something different. Just wait a season or two and Harden will ask for a trade. He has worked so hard to get where he is, he won't allow himself to rot away in Houston in his 30's

It's fine for Houston if they just want to rebuild but if they don't Simmons and Westbrook is a bad mix, they both are poorly suited to playing off the ball.
Embiid and Harden on the other hand work well offensively if Harden is ready to lead a little more and order Embiid to enter the paint when it's called for. Big step backwards defensively but I don't want to face Embiid with an elite guard that can get him to play properly.

Trade Westbrook for a Center. The other players on the Rockets are better than the Sixers players imo.
Rockets have no reason to do that trade

they have to have a westbrook trade lineup up. really hard to do without giving up an asset. the knicks have said straight up they'll only take bad contracts if assets are attached

Lol while Ben Simmons def drives me crazy w his unwillingness to shoot, no way in hell I’m gonna trade him for a 32 year old ball dominating shot jacker who is a turnstile. That would be totally insane

Harden is a solid defender these days
