I have also been watching some Trump rallies this week, and he reminds me of watching a veteran standup comedian. He has some loose "bits" that form the general structure of his speeches, and his basic bits are clearly memorized or written down, but in between the bits he is always doing a lot of original/random riffing and crowd work.

Trumps improvisational style is also part of why so many americans find him easier to idenfity with than mainstream establishment politicians. Unlike 99% of politicians, the corporate media, the corporate PR mouthpieces, the lobbyists and thinktank propagandists... Trump talks/sounds like the average american citizen, rather than speaking in the language of sanitized lawyers and corporate HR representatives.
