Which is better?

10 years

4/4 + six 1st round loss (16th place)
4/10 (zero 1st rd loss, finals loss = 2nd place at worst)

4/4 isn't better than 4/10

but it isn't worse, since the Finals-appearances of the 4/10 guy were conference-dependant - the 6 times he lost the Finals were years that he wouldn't make the Finals out west

Ultimately, no one cares about whether you can beat 2nd round winners.. beating Finals teams is what matters

Carry on the fraud and misperception tho

For a player outside of top 15 all time, 4/10 > 4/4 since each trip to the finals improves his legacy. For a player between 6 to 15, 4/10 = 4/4 since each final trip or loss does not affect his legacy. For top 5 all time, 4/10 < 4/4 since each loss in the finals hurts his legacy. For GOAT, any loss in Finals disqualifies the player from this conversation, you cant lose once in the finals at all.

Indeed, only Jordan was undefeated with 1 or 2 seeds (6-0), while everyone else lost 5+ times with 1 or 2 seeds - Kareem lost 7 times, lebron 5 times, Bird 5 times, etc, etc.. for everyone except the goat

There's just no way you can actually believe LeBron did more damage to his legacy in 2018 than 2019, just no fcking way :lol I refuse to believe anybody is really that stupid

I'd rather be 5/7 than 4/10 in the finals tbh.

In 2019 the Lakers team was shit, its not Lebron's fault that they couldnt win the title. Also lets not forget that Lebron was injured for a good portion of the season, and the young players stopped caring after the trade rumor. You cant blame Lebron for that.

In 2018 though, well lets not even talk about winning the finals, theres no excuse for Lebron to be swept when the Spurs and Pelicans won 1 game against the Warriors team(Rockets won 3). Even if losing in the finals 2018 wouldnt hurt Lebron's legacy, getting swept surely damaged his legacy a lot.

2018 sounds good because he made the Finals, but anyone can beat shit teams, so it isn't respected..... especially if you have the best sidekick in the conference (love was the best 1st option in the conference outside of bron, arguably)

Everyone knows that lebron loses in the 1st or 2nd Round out West - that's why winning the Finals matters, otherwise your appearance was conference-dependant

A quick fact: The Cavs were the only team to be swept by the Warriors in 2018, who won 58 games and aint a historical team like they were in 2017. The Kawhi-less Spurs won 1 game, Pelicans who matched up poorly against GSW won 1 game, and Rockets won 3. I cant find any explanation why, Lebron couldnt even win a game. One could make some solid arguments if he lost in 6, but not when he got swept.

Lebron was beat by record amount in the 18' Finals and the 14' Finals

Every Western team outperformed Lebron's team against the Spurs/Warriors those years.. so it's clear that lebron's Eastern champs would be a 1st Round team out West in those years

That's why the argument of how teams fell off is false - the 14' heat and 18' Cavs were the equivalent of 1st round Western teams that fell to lottery due to Wade/Bosh/love injuries.. the 15' heat missed the 8 seed by 1/2 game despite Wade/Bosh missing 40 games

Of course, any team falls off without their ball-dominator.. Nash and cp3 teams cratered without them in 12' and 13'.. otoh, ball movement teams like the Spurs, Warriors, 20' Raptors or 90's bulls keep moving the ball without their stars and don't fall off as much as ball-dominator teams

4/10 is a bit better than 4/4 because you're still making more Finals. However 5/5 is already better than 4/10 because more rings is what matters most.

Agree 100%. But it's groundhog day here, I find it funny how they say now that for Top 50 players it's better this and for Top 5 players it's better that. You can see the bias.

You're disregarding 10 Conference Championships too lightly. Let me help, do you know how many players have ever made 10 Finals?

MJ stains are jacking off to Stockon and Malone with 2 Finals APPEARANCES. So it's convenient to use when propping up opponents but not when propping up LeBron? Got it...:lol
