He didn't dominate 17 years though. You cant be dominant when you lose. Mj wasn't dominant in the 80's. Mj didn't dominate in 95. At least mj practiactually dominated a decade. The most wins bron has in any decade is 2 so he couldn't even do that. Mj has dominated. Russell has dominated. Bron has never really dominated.

it would be nice if you could just appreciate greatness and stop player bashing. this thread isn't about michael or even named him, no need to be insecure

No one was as dominant as Bill Russell and the Celtics, and that includes MJ and LeBron.

You do realize someone put up a post about MJ's 11 years of dominance with the same words as the OP, right? Obviously the post was about countering the MJ narrative.

Well, I'm glad the all-time greats are "crash test dummies" to you. You're just more proof as to how young people today have no appreciation, critical thinking skills, or intellect to begin with.

Yes, we know, the league began in 2010. The only player that counts prior is LeBron, since he played from 2003-09, conveniently. There is no league for 60 years (except LeBron). Go figure.

Calm down Joe Kleine :oldlol:

I been watching since the 80s and think LeBron would still have the same kind of career no matter the era. Possibly better. The greats are exactly that. Feel free to tell me why not.

Pretty frightening that you've been watching basketball since the 80s but somehow discuss basketball like you're 18. Let's just agree to disagree; though it's pretty simple - the league is inferior pre-2010 (magically except for LeBron who played between 2003-10.)

There are no arguments to legitimize the game, its style, and players before it (magically except for LeBron who played between 2003-10).

That must be it. :lol When all else fails, simply resort to ad hominem, sloganeering, red herrings, and an obvious obfuscation of the facts.

So is the league inferior or not pre-2010? Why should we disregard the Russell, Wilt, Kareem, Jordan, and Kobe era? If all these guys and the league itself were inferior, then why not focus on post 2010 and make two different all-time lists?

Well are they inferior or not? If the Jordan era sucked, then what does that make the Kobe era? If they both were inferior given the times, then what does that say about the 80s in comparison to today? And you already said the 60s and 70s was the era of the "crash dummies."

So explain to us how pre-2010 is even regarded at all.

The 16 All-NBA teams, 13 1st team All-NBA is the most impressive for me.

6 playoff runs with over 30 PER is also up there.

Lebron's longevity hurts him compared to Jordan because 4/17 < 6/15

It's simple math

If he gets 6 rings, he'll need 5 extra years and many team-hops to get there

3ball

.
* 4 MVPs in 17 years < 5 in 15

* 4 rings in 17 years < 6 in 15

So Jordan was more dominant

Lebron's standard is top 15 scorer and no all-defense.. Jordan's standard is #1 scorer and 1st team defense... aka jordan was much more dominant

Lebron hasn't been all-defense or won MVP in 7 years when he was 28

So he doesn't compare to Jordan, who was MVP and 1st team defense from 25 to 35 years old

LeBron All-NBA 1st team 13x

Jordan All-NBA 1st team 10x

All-NBA teams >>>>>>> All Defence and it ain't even close. Marcus Smart made 1st team All-Defence in 2020 yet he isn't even a top 40 player in the league.

Jordan won MVP at 35 years old, so he maintained MVP-caliber for an 11-year period (88-98'), compared to 4 years for lebron (09-13')

Jordan was also top 5 DPOY from 88-98' (every year).. So Jordan was MVP and DPOY-caliber for 11 years (88-98'), compared to 4 years for lebron (09-13')

Look at this shit. All you do is whine, complain and attack people. You're MUCH WORSE than the LeBron fam you cry about. Only ever seen you discuss basketball in any meaningful way in ONE thread. Otherwise you just look for arguments and act like a child who's toys have been taken away. How about actually offer something to talk about (in coherent English) instead of attacking people and then wondering why they aren't copy and pasting basketball reference for you? Just shut the **** up, you stupid, stupid little ****.

Lol it's kinda funny that this is what you get in return for responding to him calmly; blatant trolling, probably his usual shtick to deflect your questions because he couldn't make any counterargument whatsoever, moreso when he doesn't agree with your point.

Yea, pretty much. I usually pose questions on this forum that are never answered. Just look at the questions I posed to 1987_Lakers. They were all left unanswered.
