I'm told Philadelphia is expected to be interested in and pursue James Harden

I can't really see Houston wanting to do a deal though.

If Harden forces a trade, they would have to. I think James would just want to make sure they could find a trade for his boy Russ to a good spot and then he'd be ready to leave. And if Houston trades both Harden and Russ, rebuilding around Simmons + pieces + 1st Rd picks isn't bad.

Surrounding Simmons with shooters can be dangerous.

Apparently, Sixers are going for players who either shoot nothing but 3s, or don't shoot any 3s whatsoever. Nothing in-between.

It sounds good in theory but it would require more in salary and also to appease Houston in terms of their future. I feel the following is probably close enough without crunching the numbers.

Simmons
Thybulle
Richardson

For

Harden
Covington

Close enough to work around the salarys.

Maybe throw in this year's pick and Mike Scott for Austin Rivers, that is possible situation to work around without looking at salaries and contracts.

Who says no?

I hope Harden can actually make another deep playoff run. It's hard trying to defend him when he's failed so many times in the past. :(

He sounds like a maestro with these moves. Great moves by Daryl if he can pull it off to get Harden to Philadelphia but the glaring question remains FOR WHO
