You're so weird. Your team's 1A is Ben Simmons and you want to take the J off Tatum's name? Like...at some point do you ever feel some kind of responsibility to not be the dumbest ass on the forum?

He may make no difference but to turn down 34 mil for one year he's got to have a team out there ready to invest in his future. I was thinking his best bet would be to prove he can play and stay healthy for a final year in Boston but if agent found him an Al Horford deal he should take it. So who would do that for him?

If he wants out, the C's should offer him a 1M buyout deal.

Paying that idiot for absolutely nothing these days.

if he wants out he has an opy out clause and he can use it. Otherwise he can play another year here or Ainge can work a deal. Absolitely should not pay himn to leave if it doesn't create max space.

I hope I'm wrong but I have a feeling he's going to drop like Deron Williams

It would be too bad. The injuries have absolutely wrecked his time here in Boston.

Indiana too with Dipo on his way out, would make for an interesting big 3 with him, McConnell and Sabonis.

had one of his best seasons. He'd make sense back in Utah as much as their fans would hate it. Not sure they have anything besides Gobert that the Celtics would want though. Maybe if another team was involved to take on Conley or Bojan?

Forget ther airport, I would drive Hayward to Utah for Donovan Mitchell. Unfortunately the Jazz don't share your point of view.

They aren't giving up Mitchell for him not that the contracts match up

He doesn't really feel right with that roster, those teammates.. personality wise.

I can see how he wants out.

Plus his role itself of course.

You will have a point if Kemba Walker refuses to sign last year, Jaylen Brown rejects his extension last year, and Jayson Tatum rejects his extension this year. Two of those three may prove difficult.

how many guys turn down a rookie extension and risk injury? Hayward signed his in Utah and he may have already wanted out

Horford also signed with the Celtics years back, Hayward himself signed with the Cs and Walker signed just last season. This isn't a team that just can't keep anyone around.

I am not upset by this. Quite the opposite in fact. He technically is the perfect kind of player for Stevens' system.....But it just hasn't panned out.

IIRC, Deron Williams didn't have a career-threatening injury, he just stopped taking basketball seriously. About Hayward, a bit sad that we didn't see him at full-strength with the Celtics, it would have been interesting to see their loaded rosters these past seasons. Maybe they would have even made the finals.
