Larry Bird took down Jordan's bulls effortlessly in the 1st round. :applause:

You cant compare the head to head record without context, the teams are definitely not with similar level of talent. By this logic, how do you explain that Durant went 8-1 over Lebron in 2 years then?

Bird was my idol for high school and undergrad, right from his last year at ISU.

But MJ was better.

Still, MJ had to wait for Bird and Magic and then the Bad Boys to fall apart before winning.....

Jordan beat prime Isiah/dumars/rodman were only 29/27/29 when MJ beat them in 1991

And people don't realize that basically all teams made the playoffs in the mid-80's (16 of 22 teams)

so bad teams made the playoffs that wouldn't make it today - teams like lebron's 04/05/19 teams would actually MAKE the playoffs as 8 seeds.. so the teams that lost to Bird were literally worse than lebron's lottery teams..

that's why 44/6/6 still got beaten badly... Not as badly as lebron's high seeds in 18' and 14', but still beaten badly

Bird was giving Jordan the business almost every time they matched up until his back gave out

You should know, Bird is 6-0 vs MJ and routinely outplayed him.

I mean just look at the '87-'88 stretch where they matched up 10 times in the season and once in the playoffs. Both were healthy and MVP caliber players so no excuses for either player...

People act like MJ was not already a grown man when he got in the league. He was 21 years old.

Kobe and Bron got in the league as kids. 17 & 18 years old and that's the main difference.

What happens if they play from 1990-1992 in the playoffs?

Duncan as an old guy beat Peak Lebron in a series 4-1 and Lebron had 2 other stars on his team.

They worship an immature alcoholic gambling degenerate who gets so triggered he punches his own teammates. You can't reason with these folks due to their emotional IQ level being lower than the dirt under your shoe.

At age 22, he was just making his playoff debut with an 8th seed team while bran was already carrying a scrub cavs team to the finals when he was at that same age.

Only lebron lost by record amount... Twice.... With high seeds

Jordan's 8 seed did better against the 86' Celtics than lebron's high seed did against the 18' warriors and fossil 14' spurs

Stop watching it then? Lawn bowls is also fun to play but not watch for me personally. Won't see me going onto a lawn bowls forum and talking all that salty bs though.

Edit: Never mind. Forgot you stopped watching after '98.

Definitely. You can make a case for any great though. Bird owned mj but bird was in his prime and had a much better team. Still got mj though so gotta give it up to bim.

Bird would get the best of a lot of greats bron included. We saw what a big white shooter did to bron in 11 and dirk isnt bird. Just imagine what bird and the celtics would of done to bron.
