Because now that the sociopath left no longer has to feign faux outrage to blame Trump, they've stopped pretending to give a shit.
They don't actually care about people, only being in position to control people.
The left is made up of psychotics with no conscience.

It's so sad that some people are blind . The death rate (death / cases ) continues to decrease. Yes, people die each year . Total deaths will continue to increase.
The only debate is quality of life. I believe restrictions are disproportional to the harm caused as of data today (and since about April)

that first wave of deaths was almost entirely just NYC...and obviously there were more cases then we just didn't have the testing to match. But currently testing has been readily available for months now with no shortage, so if there is an increase in testing it does assume an increase in cases.
That case spike should raise an eyebrow for everyone, even hoaxers....IMO it is due to several factors

-all the gatherings around the election
-kids have been is school sharing germs

The actual number of infections in the US is roughly 90,000,000. Hospitalizations roughly 500,000 (less than flu).

Its not as deadly as it is contagious. Hence the masks.
In comparison to Ebola which is more deadly and more vile in symptoms. Like bleeding out of the eyes and rectum, bruising, severe weight loss, etc. But less infectious compared to covid.

No, 20 million gathered around the country - zero deaths/hospitalizations linked to it. A big part of rises of infections in particular regions around the country is the seasonality of the virus.

Previous CDC data on flu. Here's one link https://www.cdc.gov/flu/about/burden/2017-2018/archive.htm#ref1
You're correct here; they have reported higher rates. Let's take a look at the data:
Per CDC:
2014-2015 flu season at peak: 145k hospitalized for flu
2017-2018 flu season at peak: 134k hospitalized for flu
COVID-19 right now with "spike": 66k hospitalized with COVID
Total Hospitalizations
2017-2018 flu: 810,000, lasted roughly 13 weeks
COVID-19 hospitalizations: 507,000 over prev 34 weeks (when COVID hospitalizations started "ramping up")
https://covidtracking.com/data/national/hospitalization
Will COVID hospitalizations hit 2015 flu season peak? (Did anyone give two shits about the 2015 flu peak? :lol)
Today the most amazing thing I saw was North Dakota providing some VERY, VERY good data on hospitalizations.
https://pbs.twimg.com/media/EmxlTfjW4AAqQ44?format=png&name=small
35% of COVID hospitalizations were not hospitalized because of COVID and 40% of their ICU w/ COVID aren't in ICU because of COVID; they simply tested positive. If we extrapolate that (not unreasonable to think COVID is any different in ND vs anywhere else in US) we get this:
Per CDC:
2014-2015 flu season at peak: 145k hospitalized for flu
2017-2018 flu season at peak: 134k hospitalized for flu
COVID-19 right now with "spike": 43k hospitalized for COVID
145k vs 134k vs 43k

Obviously I'd rather be hospitalized and live than die. If we're comparing the two based on data we have, hospitalizations are a better comparison - plus, our entire goal was to Slow the Spread so hospitals wouldn't be overwhelmed, remember?

If we mass tested for influenza (or colds) we'd expect death counts in much greater numbers. This is why hospitalizations are a much better comparison. For example, roughly 450,000 people die every year in the US with a cold. While the cold may have contributed to their death, those 450,000 people were also dying of other illnesses (just like COVID deaths).
~primetime~
11-14-2020, 11:30 PM
Okay so first off from MORE flu hospitalizations and less deaths you should be able to deduct that the death rate is lower. Second flu testing is common and can be done at a regular check up if you're running a fever.
According to CDC there were 29M reported flu cases last season resulting in an estimated 22k flu related deaths.
According to CDC there have been 11M reported covid cases resulting in an estimated 250k covid related deaths.

I've addressed it 100 times. You, otoh, have dodged and ducked every opportunity to tell us what you think should be done and back it up.
What was your plan in April again? bladefd has never addressed that.
People who died with COVID died because they were also dying of other illnesses, but COVID gets 100% of the blame. Second, let's do mass testing for colds and other viruses (x) and count all deaths within 30 days of a positive test as an x death, then we can start to compare the death numbers. As I've pointed out in the official covid thread, roughly 450,000 people die with colds every year. How much you want to attribute those deaths to a cold... your choice.
Third, and this is most important, the goal is to prevent hospitals from being overrun. We knew the disease would spread and that's why our goal was to Slow the Spread so hospitals don't get overrun.

https://twitter.com/T_Inglesby/status/1224105162756616192
If nCoV starts spreading in US it's not because USG failed to contain it, it's because it'll have been a dz that was not possible to stop. That needs to be communicated clearly, or the public may lose confidence in the response, and that will make challenges of nCoV worse.
-Tom Inglesby, MD Dr. Inglesby is the Director of the Center for Health Security of the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health
Tom was right. It wasn't communicated clearly to the public thanks to media and sheep such as yourself. So I've spent hours and hours communicating it on here like a broken record, but somehow it still hasn't gotten to you. Once again, the disease is impossible to stop, that's why we have ~90,000,000 infections so far and counting. What is worse: 500 children dying of a flu or 2000 nursing home residents dying with obesity, diabetes, cancer, heart disease, and covid? We can debate all day how deaths should be counted and how important each death is. That's not the point.

time and time again he speaks of his old conspiracy theories on 9/11, makes up stuff about my personal income, etc
the man (alt?) is incapable of forming an argument of his own. :(

India is out of control at present. Hospitals full with covid patients in many areas. Almost 4x the US population in an area something like 1/4 the area is a recipe for disaster..
Interesting. At one point, I thought India would overtake the U.S but India levelled off and the U.D spiked up in cases

I've been clear on my position like a broken record: end the war on COVID-19.
Bladefd's position? Well it's not quite clear. He keeps dodging every question. 'Literally just asked him (again) what his plan is since April and he posts about hospitals in India.
Mask mandates. That's it. Only do limited temporary lockdowns in certain cities but nothing widespread. Wait for the vaccine.

I thought masks don't work?
It has to be n95 or n99 mask. Other masks don't stop viruses since viruses are so tiny.
Seems masks are all sold out.. Looked at many websites

Nice. It only took 7 months, but it seems finally had a position on what the gov't should do.
Do you think everything else should have opened 100% in May?

scuzzy, you've told us that you're scared of the virus, but what do you think the gov't should have done in April? May? Now?
I thought masks don't work?
Mask mandates don't work.
That's why we have ~90 million infections despite US having one of the highest mask compliance % in the world.

I don't recall what the situation was then. I can only tell you what I know based on the info I have at the moment in time.

Btw the situation was this:
-Hospitals eerily empty
-Virus known to be widespread AF
-Predicted hospitalization rate of 15-50% was known to be less than 1%
-Day 60 of 15 days to Slow the Spread
-Cleverness against the lockdowns, wanting to open, saying the pros do not outweigh the cons

We have been 90%+ open for months now.

You in South Dakota or something?
Tens of millions of families still heavily impacted by destructive school closures, concerts banned, pointless travel bans, sporting events 0-25% capacity, mask mandates everywhere, theme parks closed, movie theaters illegal, gyms illegal, indoor dining illegal, "social distancing" BS everywhere lol
