Pelinka gunning for solid role players.
Will be tougher to beat LA this year assuming injuries don't play a factor. But if they somehow keep Rondo AND Dwight ... Dayum. Talk about a W

Big assumption when the franchise is riding on Lebron's aging groin

Schoeder and Wes Matthews would be strong guard pick-ups for the Lakers.

Rondo is probably gone. Lakers saving the 9M mid level for a player like Ibaka.
Can only offer Rondo the minimum and teams like Clippers need Rondo badly.
Dwight is a really key player though. Lakers need to keep Dwight.

You're the same guy that said Tyson Chandler was a better pick up than Dwight Howard and said the Lakers had the worst frontcourt in the league. You're a clown.

Bron was arguably the best player last season.
The only big assumption would be you thinking he falls of a cliff.

If Rondo is seeking 2 years / 12 mill. Clips will pay that. And I wouldnt want Lakers to match that. He's incredibly injury prone and quite awful in the regular season. I would love to keep him because he's still special when it matters. Dwight is a must. If we lose him to Warriors, fuvckk

True. Rondo needs to get as much money as he can. He's been living on the minimum for a few years now and he's at the end of his career.
Lakers need to keep 2021 open. Could nab Giannis.
If they spend the mid level 9 million, they should only do it for a player like Ibaka.
Lock Dwight up in a room somewhere with Bron and AD and not let him out until he signs.

I think Lakers get one of Harkless or Ibaka which is perfect. Then I think they have the BAE? Im not sure after that.
I'll take Wes/Harkless and celebrate #18.

At this point, what would be considered falling off a cliff for Lebron, numbers wise?

I'm not assuming anything. I know he has a chronic groin problem and is just getting older

Barely even mattered in last years playoffs. Your point isn't even relevant :oldlol:

Numbers wise? Hard to tell with everyone eating.
Don't see Bron's jumper getting THAT much better, so it'd probably depend on his motor and finishing ability. Bron will decline some because of his age BUT its doubtful we see a MAJOR regression. Like from superstar to glue guy.

Nah, Lakers won't have money for Giannis. Not happening, but there will be other players out there. Let every team chase after Giannis - we will snatch someone else like Bradley Beal and a complete team around him+Davis+old man LeBron

How is it not relevant? Father time is undefeated. It's only a matter of time

There was an 'incident' during the Finals but it didn't even faze him. Was never a factor in the playoffs either.
Old age is undefeated, you're not wrong, although his play declining wont be because of THAT injury. When he regresses it'll mostly be because of age.

That is the injury. It kept them out of the playoffs and was on the injury report through the finals.

Milwaukee’s Wesley Matthews will decline his $2.7M player option for the 2020-21 season and become a free agent, sources tell @TheAthleticNBA

Better defender, better shooter, hungry.
That's a major win if they land him.

wesley is a great replacement but he is worth much more than his po. lakers should not give him much more that unless it's a one year deal and they cant get anyone else with part of the mle

Matthews is only a slight upgrade from Green...they're both great defenders who on the wrong night will build you a brick wall. Matthews, unlike Green, won't stop shooting either.

instead of looking at it as, Green or Schroeder, Green or Matthews, it's more like Green and 28 for Schroeder and Matthews.

Mathews will retire a Buck or head to Washington for a trade for Beal
