That's because Curry, who was Kyrie's direct defensive assignment, was supposedly playing while crippled.

That's a good point - Curry usually played like a bum on defense by this point in his career . He wouldn't fare as well on defense without full health. At least Kyrie didn't lift his pivot foot once per game to create space for his shot to further his already self-evident competitive advantage.
