People rave about Duncan’s 2003 and Dirk’s 2011 carry jobs because they didn’t have any all star teammates

Why don’t people talk about LeBron’s 2016 the same way since he also did not have any all stars on his team?

Definitely. Especially considering the Cavs were 1-5 in the 6 games he missed that season. Essentially turned them from a lottery team to championship winners that beat a 73-9 team in the finals.

Of course.

No all-stars
No all-nba players

Greatest comeback in NBA history.

Actually he deserves less because Kyrie Irving (his teammate) played like a Naismith Memorial Hall of Famer.

Kyrie outplayed Lebron multiple times in that series.

Obviously Lebron was the best for the overall series, nobody would deny that. But not every game.

That's because Curry, who was Kyrie's direct defensive assignment, was supposedly playing while crippled.

Trivia Question:

Who's the only NBA player to win 2 titles without an all-star teammate?

Less credit as Kyrie and Love were established superstars. Also Lebron had to get a guy suspended because he was afraid to go at a team while they were full strength.

Game 4 for sure and then arguably game 3 and 5. Kyrie was amazing in those games.

That's a good point - Curry usually played like a bum on defense by this point in his career . He wouldn't fare as well on defense without full health. At least Kyrie didn't lift his pivot foot once per game to create space for his shot to further his already self-evident competitive advantage.
