Clippers looking more likely to getting Westbrook. All of their other targets look to be gone.

Nope.

You got an alpha player with a beta mindset in Kawhi, and a beta player with an alpha mindset in Westbrook. That’s doomed to fail. Then there’s also Pandemic P and you’re looking at a 2nd round fodder.

Kawhit and Playoff P this last playoff lost to 7-1 Windhorst by 15 in game 7. Add Westbrick to that mix and they probably only lose by 12. Or maybe it goes the other way and he actually helps them lose worse.

Did everyone forget already that PG and Westbrook played together on the Thunder and were eliminated in the first round by Lillard and the Trail Blazers? Even adding Kawhi to that doesn't immensely tip the scales. The Raptors made it further without Kawhi.

If I were the OP, I'll be more worried about his pelicans not making the playoffs again

Changes nothing. Weak desperate move and probably a negative value move on the court.

They should aim lower onto moves like what Milwaukee did. He’ll get Bledsoe. Or Rubio. Or get wings who are great because the offense was fine. The defense flamed out terribly.

The Warriors seem to have initiated a movement where it's about stockpiling talent and 'names' with little regard to fit. KD, Klay and Steph blended perfectly. KD, Harden and Kyrie IMO don't. And I don't think Westbrook blends with anyone. He certainly can't 'not' be the man. He can drop numbers in his sleep but his approach to the game is the same in 2020 as it was in 2010. At a certain point the game is supposed to slow down but not for him.

As much as I love Westbrook, I am more scared about them getting Rondo than them getting Russell. He wouldn't fit in that team, and Rondo is a proven winner.

No, Westbrook is past his prime. He would also be just another idiot taking shots away from Kawhi, clippers already have enough of those. Clippers are not interested.

Going to sign Rondo and then let Harrell walk, reduce Beverly to a bench role, maybe pick up a big man like Ibaka. That's it. There's no big splash to be made with clippers.

Honestly it depends on what it leaves them with. Westbrook's salary is so damn big that it's going to gut their team.
