A 25 year old averaging 15 and 6 on ~50% shooting is only worth 6.5M? C'mon man :banghead:

Reputation in the league means that some players will be underpaid and some will be overpaid.

Actually a smart move, he sucks ass and plays zero defense. Lucky to be in the league, he wasn't going to get greedy during the virus era.

He's an elite slasher and garbage at everything else basically. Shoots just well enough to open up drives. He's the walking example of the idea that lots of players can score 15-20 a game while being a net negative.

Seems like a good guy though, and can be fun to watch.

Agreed.

Here's the expected cap and tax projections:

2021-2022: $112 million and $136.6 million
2022-2023: $115.7 million and $140 million
2023-2024: $119.2 million and $144.9 million

NBA is expecting to take a hit this year, so he's better off trying to prove himself and get a bigger contract next season.
