In 2019 Klay Thompson's signed a 5-year contract worth $189.6m after he got ACL-injury.

Here's a breakdown of how much money Klay will receive each season.

- 2019-20 season: $32,742,000
- 2020-21 season: $35,361,360
- 2021-22 season: $37,980,720
- 2022-23 season: $40,600,080
- 2023-24 season: $43,219,440

His first 2 years have been vaporized. GSW have lost almost $68m on Klay who had ACL-injury and now full tear Achilles.

Klay will be almost 32 years old when he makes his comeback.

People always talks about how brilliant Klay is as a shooter, which is true. But Klay's game is also heavily reliant on athleticism. He’s cutting, running around screens, switching to get open etc. to get into position. All of which rely on quickness. I suspect Klay's defense will fall off a cliff.

Tearing your Achilles and ACL are the worst injuries you can get as a basketball player.

Especially for a 30+ year old Klay who relies on athleticism.

I doubt Klay will be anywhere near as good as he once was.

For a guy who only plays 1 out of 3 years, yeah that's a shit contract right now. Curry will also be 34 years old when Klay returns. Time to blow it up

No tearing your acl isn't that bad for any sport. Most people come back from it with no lingering effects, just has reinjury risk like every injury. Anything in the foot elbow shoulder and back are much worst injuries for players

Do you watch ball? Klay relies on athleticism? The half nikka moves without the ball through well placed screens and body control for a shot off the pass off
