What about Chuck's scoring efficiency: 13 for 16 or 81.3% FG. If he didn't shoot the three he missed he would be at 13 for 15 or 86.7% FG!!!

It's amazing how restrained he was. His offensive ability clearly supported higher shot volume while maintaining efficiency but he always stayed in that 14-16 shots a game range. Barkley should have been 28-30ppg a game every year of his prime without having to chuck ( no pun :D).

Barkley's gotta be one of the more underrated ATG's... he was right there at the top with MJ and Hakeem, but has slid down rankings.

Its basically because most here only saw Chuck when he was a role player in Houston. That Barkley wasn't even close to prime and peak Barkley. From 89 to 93 he was the 2nd best player. Then Hakeem took over from 93 to 95. Charles wasted his prime and peak athletically with the Sixers.

Indeed. And that Blazers team would be the eventual runner up to Chamopion few years later. Goes to show you how good Barkley was putting up a 40-20 game with 6 steals. Only Hakeem has more 40-20 games than Chuck and he played alot more games!
