I fear this may be the case.

Sure, the money is good -- but damn. He's way too talented to be "that guy."

He's on the AD/Embiid/Giannis tier of ability.

T'would be a royal shame if he's in the same place 5 years from now.

Nah. He still has PLENTY of time. Once he leaves MN after playing with his buddy for a few years then people will finally wake up and realize how good he actually is. He'll only be ~27-28 by that time.

He ain't doing shit in Minnesota. And I don't think he's good enough to lead a team to a championship as a #1 guy. Unless we're talking 2003-04 Pistons level of depth. But if he improves defensively just a little bit, he could be a #2 guy on a championship team. He is a 7 footer who is a legit 40% 3pt shooter. How unique is that?

That title belongs to Bradley Beal way before it belongs to Towns.

I always love how everyone say good players who are on bad teams are wasting their primes.. But if you recall long ago many other teams SUCKED ..along with the Warriors once upon a time and with Steph Curry I might add... Then He ransomed his way to the Warriors just like Wiseman did. All it takes is for players to play hard and get lucky in the draft and a franchise can change.

If everyone is wasting their prime why doesn't the NBA cut It's depth in half and go down to 15 teams total and just pile all them into All Star teams?
