with people talking about KD's struggles in the vegas summer league, let's not forget the kid is STILL 18 years old. He is like 4-6 months older than your average high school senior.

i should have his shots vs New York up in about a hour or so.

edit: sorry i don't have it up yet, i over slept yesterday:sleeping
Should have it done by tonight.

he has been getting plenty of open looks, his shot just hasen't been falling.

Although his last 13 shots vs GS he went 8-13. Maybe he turned a corner with his shot. We shall see.

One thing that i like about his game, is he is willing to learn, and grow. he also is not afraid to take it to the rim, whenever he pleases. That is encouraging. although he is getting beat up down low, with time he will be dominant, i can almost guarantee it.

Just a heads up, i will have Durant's plays vs. GS, and vs. Portland up by the end of the week. Have been a bit drained out from work. Don't want you guys to think im not doing it anymore.

What I like about Durant's game is he already have a better jumpshoot than Lebron when Bron was 18. His offensive game is more polished than any of the player, who was drafted since 2004 and he is also the tallest SG guard in the league at 6'9" (Barefeet) and 6'10.25" in shoes with a 7'4 3/4" Wingspan. Durant frequently used it to his advantage by posting up bigger players, while shooting over smaller guards.

I would not even be suprised if he will average a double double performance in his rookie season. He might possibly be the best rookie in this years draft and become one of the most talented scorers of all time.

Durant to Start at SG

Tacoma News Tribune - 09/05 - 11:08 AM EST

According to Seattle beat writer Eric Williams, he believes Kevin Durant will start at shooting guard during his rookie season.

Jeff Green, the Sonics' other lottery pick, will start at small forward or be one of the first players off the bench at that position.

I think Kevin Durant will play the SG position on offense, but defensively, he'll spend more time matched up with some of league's Small Forward. Durant's pretty quick himself, but his freakishly long arms allows him recover against faster, but much smaller players. He need to bulk up more if he wants to consider himself as Power Forward. I think his game is more of an athletic Dirk Nowitzki and his defense reminds me of the early days of Garnett with the Timberwolves.

it will be a good experiment to put kd at the 2

in time, he will probably be a better 3 as his body develops and he learns to play nba style defense

Yeah he probably will be a three eventually. Putting him at the two allows other players like Szczerbiak and Green to get in the game, whereas if he started at the three, Szczerbiak would be playing a bit out of position if he was the starter, or they would have a big hole if someone else was starting there.

Here are a few of KD's photos. They are not great. But for now, they should quench you KD fans for awhile until Sports illustrated comes out with the good ones.

KD does need to build his body. As of now he can't even play against the strong guards like Billups or (that Utah big guard) what his name.

#6 For GS is Troy Hudson. Yeah, he's got that predator hair do which i think it's real ugly unless you are that space creature predator with 4 fangs hanging out of your mouth.

If Durant is at the 3 where would Green play though? I think the Sonics plan on Green becoming a starter in a year or 2 if not now.

I like Green at the 4, but only if Seattle gains some major size at the 5. Also, who would play the two? Maybe a nice outside shooter that Seattle could get in a trade to draw defenses away from KD. Oh yeah.... Ray Allen.

as wilcox declines and green gets some experience, their p-t will probably reflect this

Isn't Wilcox only 27 or something? It will be awhile before he starts to decline.

I dont know why the sonic wanted to rebuild. they could have had ridnour, allen, durant, wilcox, swift. Lewis wouldve probably stayed too. with those veterans Kd's rookie season couldve been a little bit better

it was more about blowing the team up so that they WOULD NOT win this year

bennett knew that if the sonics were successful, that the city would rally around them and work to keep them in seattle. so it was to his advantage to rid the team of anyone who had a connection to the past. for example, when lenny was relegated to a "consultant" type role, i knew we were dust

winning was not bennett's goal from the beginning; moving the team was. blowing it up worked toward that goal

Don't mean to rain on our Emerald City's Golden boy; but last night game against the Nuggets just proved what I have been saying all along. He is over rated, big mistake from the coaching/management for trying to make him as the go-to guy now. Chucko has some pictures from last night:

http://www.spmsportspage.com/images/NBA/2007/SeattleSonics96-DenverNuggets-138-2-27-08/Chuckarelei_029.html

http://www.spmsportspage.com/images/NBA/2007/SeattleSonics96-DenverNuggets-138-2-27-08/Chuckarelei_003.html

He got little guys guarding him all night and he had no clue on what to do even the times he was at low post position. And he went 4 for 17 FG. That's terrible %.

Oops sorry Chucko, I mean Chuckarelei.

Back to the Durant; I mean if he went 4-17 with Allen Iverson and Anthony Carter guarding him. That tells you there is something wrong. Right?

That really sucks that the Sonics will be relocated next year. I think this franchise have a bright future, and it's been a great job building your team around a 19 yrs.old, who is already proven that he can be a go to guy for this team especially in the 4th quarter.

I think because of Durant's jump shot he might become a more explosive scorer in his prime, and he can definitely create his own shot, that is why if he gained 15-20 lbs it's pretty difficult to stop him from scoring.

He is a legit 6-9, and I think next year he will probably play the SF position, and i expect him to average more than 8 rpg in the regular season because he have a decent height advantage over the opposing team's defender.

Mark my words he would be much better than Tracy Mcgrady in his prime, and he is going to be the rival of Lebron as the next Best Player in the NBA.
