Kemp was a filthy dude. Few could throw it down like him!

But he was a really good basketball player as well until he fell apart with drugs and personal problems.

I think the 98 lockout did a lot of harm to him and others like Vin Baker. They completely turned into alcohol and drugs to pass the days and their careers went south from there on. Sad.

Thats pretty impressive he strung some of his best dunks in a row like that. And in the playoffs... clearly a big time competitor.

People just remember his dunks but what gets lost with Kemp is he was a great (underrated) defender.

His 20 foot jumper was cash money too.

He had the tools to be a stats monster but it never translated even before all the booze and cocaine.

People just remember his dunks but what gets lost with Kemp is he was a great (underrated) defender.

Also had good handles for a big guy, not a bad mid range also.

Not sure if many people realize he was actually in leg braces growing up
