Back in 2019: While professional athletes in the world of sports getting caught for PEDs is nothing new, this frequency is unprecedented in the NBA. In the history of the league, no more than two players have ever tested positive in the same season. And there’s still more than 70 games to go in this one.

How many times has LEBRON gotten tested? Look at his son...he looks like he's eating more than just
tacos.

Look at Dwight...he's a monster!

Thoughts?

Yes they get tested and they are subjected to unannounced random tests multiple times per season.

This is in contrast to the league before the 00's when they were not tested for things like HGH at all.

In the 80's for example the testing was basically non-existent and drug use, like cocaine and other stimulants, was rampant.

Every player is tested at random 4 times a year. Hard to believe behemoths like TJ McConnell are all natty but these are the best athletes in the world.

LeBron has played at the Olympics three times where athletes get constantly tested. OP too desperate.

That’s not correct. They can be tested up to four times during the season but many players end up not being tested at all. The NBA is a league that does not test all its players at least once a year. Also, if you have been tested four times you can’t be tested again so you can kinda do whatever you want lmao. It doesn’t really matter either way, by microdosing, you can beat tests no problem, you can even beat your biopassport test by microdosing.

A test for HGH did not exist then, so it would not have been possible to test for it.

The agency that does the testing in the Olympics claimed more than once they don't have the ability to detect the designer PEDs that NBA players would have access to. The detection technology is said to be about 20 years behind the designer PEDs.

The agency that tests NBA players is supposedly overseen by the NBA, and also supposedly the NBA never has to release any results with the players being given their test date in advance.

There was a US Senate investigation into this a few years back, and basically the NBA testing program was said to be a complete joke, and worse than the other major US sports league's testing programs.

The NBA drug testing is a joke. LeBron has competed for the US in international competition, so he's subject to the much stricter testing protocols that those events require.

That really doesn't mean anything, though. Lance Armstrong used to brag that he was the most tested athlete in history, and he got away with doping for most of his career. He only got caught when new testing methods were applied to samples that had been collected years earlier.
There are definitely some athletes out there who are using cutting-edge doping schemes that can't be detected by any currently available test. Will they get caught eventually as testing improves? Maybe. We find out about the guys who got caught, but the guys who have still gone undetected certainly aren't going to say anything.

Fun side note: The USADA makes certain details of its testing available to the public. You can go to https://www.usada.org/news/athlete-test-history/ and search by year, sport, athlete name, or any combination. You can search for LeBron and see that he's been tested 10 times, though you can't see when those test occurred. If you're curious, in so far in 2020 the USADA has administered 6849 tests to 2438 different athletes.
