wow, so many options

most of them excellent choices

I'm surprised ya'll have passed on Anfernee "Penny" Hardaway to this point, considering what a good ball distributor they were, and that despite this, getting them the ball would be key

btw where did you list LeBron?

Penny Hardaway
Tim Hardaway
Calvin "Pocket Rocket" Murphy
Kyrie Irving
Deron Williams

I've always thought that Lenny Wilkens was among the least deserving members of the NBA's 50th Anniversary Team - additionally, I don't think Jo Jo White deserves the Hall of Fame.

Lenny Wilkens was very consistent. Probably the number 5 guard of the 60s.

Behind Oscar, West, Hal and Sam Jones. He has double the All-Star appearances as Sam Jones.

Why is Lowry a wildcard? It’s an objective fact that he’s added more total value to his teams over his career than a lot of the players you mentioned.

21. Tim Hardaway
22. Kyle Lowry
23. Jo Jo White
24. Maurice Cheeks
25. Idk. Kyrie I guess.

Also I’m surprised guys like Stephon Marbury, Steve Francis, Baron Davis and Guy Rodgers weren’t listed. Amongst others.

No particular reason. Brandon Roy, Peja and Draymond were wildcard in my other position threads.

There were so many. My last subtraction was Norm Nixon. I literally switched him out for Slater Martin at the last minute.

My cutoff was right around the Terry Porter/Mark Jackson range.

That's true, but I still wouldn't list him above the likes of most of these greats except for Bob Davies and maybe Slater Martin. Others worth mentioning are Mike Bibby and Jason "White Chocolate".

Bibby or Williams didn't cross my mind. Maybe for a top 50 PG list.
They're behind guys like Moore Blaylock, Terrell Brandon and 50s players like Andy Phillip, Dock Mcguire.

they're both substantially better than Mookie, although he was great, too. Bibby out of Point Guard U and Jason with the sick as fvck passes. don't sleep on Andre Miller

He may not have any rings and was repeatedly snubbed by all star voters but in his prime Rod Strickland was your favorite point guard's favorite point guard!

Why listed as SG?
They were literally PGs tho.

I get why you say Penny but all of his success seasons he was a PG. He played SG in like New York and Phoenix tho ...

There is no universe in which Derrick Rose has had a better career than Kyle Lowry or Tim Hardaway. The man legit had 1.5 seasons as a superstar, 1 more as an all-star and has been anywhere from bad to solid the rest of his career. **** outta here.

He has an MVP, that counts for something. Those never sniffed an MVP award.
And I'd say 3-4 seasons. Not a lot but Earl Monroe is only a 4 time All-Star.

Penny was a kind of a combo guard I guess. Arenas was definitely an SG though with the way he played.

These kind of players always suffer on all-time rankings because some people consider them one way and some another.

Rose peaked so much higher than the other guys though. Completely different tier...

Yeah i believe d-rose was elite for more than a year but it became shortlived when the 2012 postseason arrived.

During that time, he led the bulls to two-consecutive top seeds in the eastern conference and one trip to the conference finals. Sucks to see that's just that tho.
