A few were better. There's also a reason why brons rebounds have gone up as he got older. The game is way more spread out and there's less traffic and therefore bigs in the lane because of it. So Rebounds are much easier now. Its why westbrook can get get 10 a game. Barkley and rodman were grabbing rebounds in a way more pact paint where it was harder. So He's not the best but he's definitely one of them. Top 10 forsure.

I would say Kawhi is better because he has bigger hands. Kawhi averaged 4 offensive rebounds a game in closeout games vs Giannis and Embiid. It seems like Kawhi was more impressive on rebounds then LeBron when they faced in 2013 as well.

Lebron's not even close to the best SF rebounder. This is kind of hard to gauge, though, since players have to do different things on the court and he has to do so much else. I'm sure he could have put up more rebounds if he had more energy to expend in that regard, but we can only go by what he did do.

Yeah he steals rebounds from the PFs like Bosh, Love and Davis, its quite puzzling to me why he does this. Westbrook is another player who enjoys stealing rebounds from the big men.

Durant's career RPG is pretty much the same:confusedshrug:

Not only is Elgin Baylor better by a mile in total rebounds / rebounds per game but he's better in his estimated TRB% as well.

And up for debate as even better than Baylor at rebounding from that era (so long as he wasn't injured) was Gus Johnson.

Then there's Larry Bird and Denis Rodman if you count him as SF from the 80's and 90's that were also better at crashing the boards than LeBron.

LeBron is a clear cut GOAT candidate for his all around game but he's not the best rebounding SF ever.

Also Larry Bird

To be fair LeBron’s career will almost be twice as long as Bird’s

As LeBron's career winds down, you'll hear more arguments like this in order to make it seem like LeBron is the greatest player to do everything. We're seeing it all of this forum as an example. Gus Johnson? These kids don't even know who that is.

Insane fact about LeBron's rebounding:

LeBron has 6 finals where he averaged more rebounds than Dennis Rodman averaged in 5 of the 6 finals series he's played in (only exception is the 1996 finals).

Insane?

Rodman averaged 25, 24, 20, 27, and 30 minutes a game in the finals you reference. Lebron has done 43, 44, 44, 43, 38, 46, 42, 42, 45, and 38. The one season you mentioned Rodman having the edge is the only year he played over 30 minutes a game....and he had 15 rebounds a game including setting the NBA finals record for offensive rebounds....twice.

Getting more rebounds in 45 minutes than someone who split time between being a one on one defensive stopper 7th man on wings and later focusing on guarding opposing star 4s and sharing minutes isnt what id call insane.

Lebron isnt on the short list of best rebounding forwards either as a 3 or a 4. Hes not an exceptional rebounder. He plays exceptional minutes. Kinda like when Dirk was getting like 12-13 a game in the playoffs for years and his fans just ignored hed play 44 minutes a game to do it while actual rebounding specialists were playing 28.

Hes a good rebounder but its nothing to make a big deal of.

Jordan averaged more offensive rebounds than LeBron and he's a guard. :oldlol: Truth about LeBron is, like with many other facets of the game, are that his stats become hollow. Bird was a better rebounder as were Shawn Marion and Lamar Odom.
