Nah but the shutdowns have supposedly stifled a ton of the human aid into a lot of third world countries that depend on it literally to live. Mortality is up in some parts of the world because the western "rescue machine" has been suspended due to covid.

This is single handedly the most effective measure they can do to combat pollution and the destruction of our remaining arboreal and wildlife habitats. I've been saying this for years but it's common sense to anyone with a brain. We have too many people on this planet already. Only the intelligent, hard working, financially secure and/or those displaying responsibility should be allowed to have net gain offspring(i.e. more than 2).

Hopefully race and other stupid criteria will stay out of selection process. But those things won't matter in 100 years anyway. All children will be genetically designed anyway. You could pick a dark skinned, red haired, lavender eyed child if you want to.

Fast forward to 2019 and a coalition of “official scientists” posit the same idea, and now these posters probably defend it, bc “the scientists” told them it was okay.

Thats the thing about “pro science” phonies like bladefd and the bunch. They have no personal intuition toward science. Theyre just empty parrots of whatever science the media publicly approves and disseminates, bc they think it gives them intelligence cred.

Theres still a lot of lot of lot of people emerging into the “modern world” where Whole Foods markets will be set up to provide fish from overfished seas, and palm oil products harvested from cleared out rainforest. Also these new markets will need parking lots and lots of supporting real estate development. Bye bye giraffes and zebra and hippos.

It’s not so much a question of physical space, but the natural environments that would be sacrificed to make room for expansion. Also, all of our food comes from nutrients in the soil (except the marine life we’re depleting). The more people you have to provide for, the more soil nutrients you strip from the earth. Yes there are artificial ways of managing it, but why? Why interrupt natural cycles just to have 10 billion humans instead of 5?? What is the theoretical benefit of all those extra humans, other than imagined self congratulatory “look how many more we made! we’re so progressive!”

We tend to cope with our softness by rebranding it as virtue.

Most likely because parents and schools from developing nations barely prioritize on teaching the essentials of values education to their children at very young ages and thus, it's no surprise that premarital sex is common there.
