View Full Version : Why did it take until LeBron was 35 to finally get to play with a superstar?

LeBron played with his first superstar (All-NBA 1st team type player) when he was 35

Jordan got Pippen (who’s better than AD) when he was 25

Why didn’t LeBron get good help earlier in his career?

So LeBron got outscored by nearly 10 ppg in the Finals by a guy who wasn't even a superstar?

He won't get out of the west even if he had a teammate as good as that

Pippen's are hard to find/come by. Davis was LeBron's 1st Pippen level player.

We finally did it

LeBron has two seasons where's he's played with a superstar level player (2011 Wade, 2020 Davis).

I don't consider Pippen a superstar so Jordan's accomplishments are even that more impressive.

A debt of gratitude is in order for tending to this subject. I was searching for the data with respect to the equivalent upsers (https://www.upsers.run/).

But baldan's record without pip is just marginal at best tbh

league conspiracy from stern, now handed down to silver as his mandate.

the league and refs conspire against lbj because they know the league would be boring if it was fair.

I can only assume that he is talking about a player who was first time All-NBA playing with Lebron. Wade was 1st team All-NBA the two years right before Lebron went to Miami.

Dumb thread

Wade should have been first team, though. He was clearly better than Kobe in 2011.

wade was no doubt a superstar in 2011 and I'd say 2012 as well. injuries started catching up to him during and after the 2012 season.

AD is the only superstar (aka pippen-tier player) that was healthy and in his prime with lebron.

kyrie love or bosh are not superstar level players.

Agree on Love and Bosh but Kyrie played like a superstar in the 2016 and 2017 playoffs.

Kyrie wasn’t even an all star in 2016

Try and figure out why...
