If you can't drain the swamp, just hit the self-destruct button leaving the fascists nothing. I would rather see someone destroy the country than hand it over to the democrat psychopaths who want to control everybody.
Good job Trump, have fun golfing.

Donald Trump joked that he and his daughter Ivanka have sex in common in a February 2013 taped appearance on The Wendy Williams Show.
During a question and answer game, Williams asked Ivanka, "What's the favorite thing you have in common with your father?"
Ivanka answered, "Either real estate or golf" while Trump added, "Well, I was going to say sex, but I can't relate that to her."

"Europe's biggest news magazine".. You know why they refer to headlines in German in the actual article? Because it's a German MSM news organization. Sure it's big, but nonetheless it's a German news site who also has an option to translate their site to English.

From the der spiegel article
"He sends federal troops to Portland, although the Governor of Oregon is against it. He blames the 'Antifa' for the violence and avoids setting himself apart from right-wing extremist militias."
These kraut monkeys clearly have no clue what they are talking about. Trump sent feds to guard the federal courthouse that antifa was trying to burn down... our useless governors opinion on the issue was irrelevant. Also, antifa have been the instigators of the violence in 99% of their interactions in this city.
Anyway I dunno which is funnier - the fact that people are still reading magazines in 2020 (whats the top selling CD in europe?), or the fact that our resident libtards think that anyone who isnt suffering from TDS would give a single **** about what a german magazine thinks about Trump.... especially considering its a magazine that has a history of fabricating news to smear the USA https://nypost.com/2018/12/23/der-spiegel-scandal-when-the-right-hate-is-more-important-than-the-right-facts/

Except its not just one guy. Do you know how publishing works? Ever heard of an editor?
When a so-called "news" outlet publishes one fabricated story its an institutional failure... but publishing 14-55 fabricated stories written by one "journalist" requires a preposterous level of stupidity and incompetence (or if it was intentional, malice).
Also this lying kraut monkey wasnt just some no-name journalist, CNN called him "journalist of the year" in 2014 (gotta love a fake news outlet honoring one of their fellow fake news propagandists :oldlol: )

I'm actually involved in the business, but not on the journalist side of it. The big problem is that there are always tight time limits to send magazines into production(where I work) and when a reporter builds reputation the editors don't do a deep source check anymore as it's too tome consuming, too expensive. Printed media doesn't sell enough anymore to afford huge teams.
Some daily newspapers don't even use lectors anymore.
No excuse for fabricated stories, but an explanation.
Also there are people discrediting anything published by MSM, but at the same time take anything some rando from youtube, twittern facebook publishes for the truth . I would and don't trust either. Information is to easily manipulated. I still read newspapers, but I read both conservative and left leaning to form an opinion on the news written there. Mostly truth lies somewhere in the middle.

Did you really just attempt to justify a so-called news magazine publishing 14-55 fake stories by saying that its too expensive and time consuming to fact-check? If a publication is incapable of verifying their stories, they have no business publishing the "news".
Anyway, I totally agree that printed media doesnt sell... that was one of my original points - who the **** cares about some fake news german magazine that nobody reads?

There are also people who believe everything published by the MSM and discredit everything said by rando youtuber/twitter/facebook bloggers, which is no less stupid than the people who believe the inverse. IMO independent "journalists" are generally more trustworthy than the corporate ones, since they are free to speak without pressure from advertisers or some kind of institutional agenda.

I'm not involved with the business, but sometimes I have to analyze the work that comes out of it, though for a different subject than politics.
I'd argue that what you describe there is something that generally can't be trusted, the safeguards simply aren't in place if individual journalists don't have their work checked up on.
And secondly, I'd argue that the environment you describe there also make it much easier for an organization or institution to have their opinion reflected in the media through what is known as credible journalists.
Any organization or 3 letter agency for that matter, could offer e.g a million dollars to a well known journalists for a series of articles. If there are no safeguards in place to check the work of the journalists, these things become much easier to carry out - and some of these journalists might bite on that offer.
Also, if this is just a simple matter of company limitations, are there any recent examples of journalists from Der Spiegel or any other "centrist media news org" who rose in the ranks to a level where their work is no longer checked, but was writing critical about Democrats or people on the left?
Also there are people discrediting anything published by MSM, but at the same time take anything some rando from youtube, twittern facebook publishes for the truth . I would and don't trust either. Those people are very far and few between, hardly anyone takes in everything of anything.
As for the last point, I have to disagree. If two sides lie or manipulate information about a subject, the truth isn't found by mixing those lies, but instead through deducting them.

It's ok alright aslong as these randos cite sources, but most random stuff on social media that gets perpetuated is opinion disguised as fact with redundant sources if there are sources at all. I also don't accept news articles for the truth if they don't cite credible sources.

Although I don't really enjoy Welt that much. They're pretty caught up in conservative religious world views. Faz is more open to modernity while still maintaining their conservative views. Die Presse is like a poor man's austrian FAZ, but has the best Feuilleton of these 3 imo.

I honestly don't judge my intelligence. I did tests over the years, but they don't tell anything about you as a person.
I am confused about how exactly an industrial mechanic who happens to work on printing machines know more about the industry of journalism than anyone else on this site? In what way does working on printers give you insight into the way content is produced by media outlets?
Machinery is directly owned by the publisher and we have a weekly meeting with him and get quite insight into the editoral, because any delay directly affects as as we also create the printing forms ourselves.
Maybe the situation is better in germany (I doubt it), but in the US virtually all MSM content is either opinion or just blatant propaganda disguised as fact.
Can't speak for Germany, but in Austria we have the "Presserat" - press council - where you can report foul behaviour by publications. The only newspapers who don't participate are 3 tabloits.
Anyway, in this thread you said that Der Spiegel is one of the biggest investigative journals in Europe, but when I pointed out that they had published dozens of articles written by a prolific liar you dismissed my well sourced article as a "nypost smear campaign"
Where did I claim a smear campaign by the NY Post? It's just ironic that the NY Post, a newspaper publishing out of their ass attacks the Spiegel. I didn't dismiss it. It was big news when it went public and was a massive hit for an otherwise renoun magazine. It still doesn't take away from their past accomplishments when it comes to corrupt politicians.

if you didn't want to read it ... here is part of the article from Europe (remember these are the people that we would call alias )
The German magazine Der Spiegel has delivered a withering assessment of President Donald Trump's 2020 in an article headlined "The loser of the year."
The piece of more than 3,300 words pulled no punches in criticizing Trump's response to the coronavirus pandemic, his refusal to accept an election defeat, and for good measure, it took swipes at other presidential actions this year.
Just HOW MANY GREAT PREIDENTS IN THE HISTORY OF AMERICA were called this ??
Republican trumpsters need to re-think backing an actual LOSER.
