Zero chance IMO.
The masses themselves would never be bothered to make the inevitable sacrifices involved, it would only occur if the leadership decided to orchestrate it. Which they wont, because there is little or nothing to gain.
It happened once because slaves were the backbone of an agrarian economy, whose leadership owned most of the land, and those interests were directly threatened by abolition. It’s a different economic landscape today. Theres no impending issue whereby a bunch of senators stand to lose all their wealth. And thats what it would actually take for a secession to take place. The masses arent organizing shit. Thats not what the masses do.

God I hope so. Not sure how it would happen. You would be talking about mass migration issues to if people wanted to live in the country they agree with.
But I'm all for it at this point. There is no common ground anymore. Liberals are nuts. Devil-worshippers.

I would be happy for Texas if they chose to secede but not as happy as I would be for the rest of the country if California were to secede.
California/Oregon/Washington cecedes and becomes the Communist Empire. Tech CEO dictators and satanic Hollywood celebrities pushing propaganda.
Texas cecedes and becomes the Jedi Republic. New age cowboys.
Then we trade people...
California/Oregon/Washinton Republicans can go to Texas or the U.S.
All Texas and New York/Washington DC Democrats have to go to California. Also, all democrat homeless people go to California since tech people and celebrities love them so much.
Depending on where the numbers stand, we continue cramming as many remaining Democrats into the Communist Empire. They will probably need more space, so probably throw in Arizona to the Empire. Arizona voted blue, so...
Alright. We got a plan going. It works out perfectly, the Communist Empire can easily trade with their Russian comrades. And they don't even need the U.S. navy stuff because they have their own personal private Scientology Sea Org navy.
But hey, let's keep Texas since they will no longer feel the need to leave with all the communists boarded off from the rest of the U.S. on the west coast.

If you cracked open the Bible once in a while, you'd realize just how off guns and God together as a phrase that is...Jesus once said, he who lives by the sword...
Guns and God is only an American southern redneck thing, made up by a bunch of Protestants, hardly real Christians...Catholics around the world don't go around bragging about having guns since we know it's contradictory to what Christ taught.
Buy a clue, hermano.

That sword proverb isnt saying that you shouldnt own a sword or use one to protect yourself when necessary... its saying that if you go out and inflict violence upon the world, that violence will come back to hurt you. Its basically just a rephrasing of the golden rule to all civilization - do unto others as you would have them do unto you.
While southern rednecks own lots of guns, they commit very few acts of gun violence against other people. The vast majority of gun violence in this country is associated with gangs and this violence takes place in large cities like Chicago, Detroit, Baltimore, Memphis, St Louis, Miami, Los Angeles... not rural West Virginia.
Anyway, history is littered with examples of christians perpetrating heinous acts of violence against others. The redneck christians of the american south might as well be Ghandi acolytes compared to the christians involved in things like the Irish troubles, the genocide of natives in North and South America, the inquisitions, the crusades... etc

Only 3 of the top 15 states far as federal funding as a percentage of total spending are blue and two of them just went blue this year after being red for years.

That doesn't mean people wouldn't survive without it. How much of that funding actually makes a difference to the average person in those states? Most of it is just wasted money handed to state bureaucrats I'm sure. People would manage to get by regardless.
I don’t think OP truly realizes how stupid it is to claim that a “Communist country” (this is actually impossible unless you mean a country that has communist ideology) would have CEOs. He then arguably topped it up by claiming that modern day Russia would want anything to do with Communists when they’re a fascist oligarchy.

People would survive without indoor plumbing. But it would suck.
Mississippi and Louisiana both get 43% of their yearly budget from federal aid. I’m sure a new confederacy could muster some federal aid to its many backwood states full of trailer parks....just saying. That’s a lot of budget to replace. Texas would be stretched thin supporting some of these bum states. That is....if Texas isnt blue in a couple years.
After Georgia you can’t count on much of anything and Texas has been getting closer for years.
That flips im not sure who the production state would be for the red states. Florida I guess.

No doubt....red states do have a lot of land nobody lives on. Keep growing that corn. At least until you realize you have to send it where people live for it to have value. Nebraska doesn’t support itself selling corn to Nebraskans.

Point is, they are self sufficient. They can sell the corn and beef anywhere. The whole world is a market.

None of these states are self sufficient as they are. The people in every state could live without being in the United States. There would just be considerable change and incredibly stripped down budgets.

I mean you can just look to history to see who feels they need whom more.
People IN red states wouldnt actually care if secession happened. They would just adapt. The main reason it wont happen is because they cant be bothered to organize it in the first place. But the people themselves wouldnt actually care.
Whereas average blue state voters would be EASILY convinced by the media the separation is wrong and insulting and problematic and unionphobic and anti science etc, and they would all be swept up into hysterics to force red states back into their place if the leaders so desired.
But people in red states would be fine saying ‘so long’ if it really came down to it.

You got farms. Great, you wouldn't starve. But where is the rest of the budget money coming from with majority of the industrialization/tech in blue states? Selling corn & lettuce to foreign nations isn't making the financial ends meet. In today's world (or at least in past 150yrs), you still need industry to stay upright & keep up with the competition.
Point in case: Civil war. South had plenty of manpower & great generals, but lack of resources/industry was one of the big reasons for them getting absolutely smashed by the industrialized Union. They were pretty much starved into collapsing. Much of the red states are still vast open farmlands much like 150yrs ago. Yes, Texas has plenty of industrialization, but as kblaze said Texas can't singlehandedly carry all the red states...

This conversation is moot, there's really no such thing as a blue state anyway (except maybe my state of Massachusetts lol, and maybe a couple of others). Probably 40-45% of the population of blue states are conservatives. Many would probably take their skills and businesses to red states if it came to it.

Jesus Christ was also very much anti-violence, so much so that he said if someone strikes you, offer them the other cheek...I get that in practical terms, that is very hard to do but the point of that was to avoid violence at all costs, like a last resort kind of thing and not get all jumpy at the first hint of violence (as some gun owners are known to have done).
I just find it weird that some so called Christians also love their guns, like a lot. I used to own a firearm, had it for personal defense but I never had a crush for it, just had it in my bedside drawer and basically never took it out :lol Got rid of it when I got kids, guns and kids do not mix.

They would have to make certain compromises on principles such as debt in order to stabilize quickly, but it would still be possible to do without being politically attached to blue state America.

America makes a lot more money that it owes to china. You're asking a new country with no infrastructure and no funding ( if republicans stick to their libertarian ways) to get pay for massive debt? How are they going to pay for it with low taxes?

Same way Florida is pulling businesses away from New York BECAUSE of the lack of state income tax. Business would invest in red states. There would still be a need to borrow some money I'm sure, but it wouldn't be an impossible economic structure.
Think about all the things the current federal government spends money on. Millions of dollars in research studies to find out why lesbians are fat. Anti-smoking initiatives, diversity initiatives, endless nonsense that red states would simply gut from their budget and never spend a penny on. In theory it'd be a much more efficient model.
The only thing clouding the issue would be immigration. Without cheap labor, wealth parity would be more balanced, which would be great in theory, but it might deter investors. Regardless, it wouldnt be a priority for the southern public to become an economic powerhouse. They'd mainly be interested in just doing things their own way, even if it means spending more time at free church picnics instead of on Amazon.com buying everything they can.
Again I'm not saying everything would be peachy and without obstacle. But I hardly see a southern confederacy devolving into Haiti.

If you know anything about the culture of rural america its not weird at all that redneck christians love guns. Most of these people have been around guns since a very young age, a lot of them grew up hunting with their friends and family, and a lot of them are gifted or inherit guns from their relatives.

Secession will be terrible for you guys and the world. Losing an election is not something you can not come back from, and the fear is that Republicans fail to hear what voters wanted.
The GOP actually had an excellent cycle in house and senate seats but don't blow it by entertaining this. Unless we have some very heavy election reform, then every presidential election going forward will be a competition of who can cheat the most, and the US will be an official banana republic. Well, maybe that's not such a bad thing; if nothing else its enteratining. 2020 has been a hoot. They literally shut down the world with a fake pandemic to try to get Trump out of office. The media obviously forced his hand by making this thing out to be some kind of extinction event in the making. Trump, along with most other rational thinkers in America, could clearly see the narrative was concocted and over blown, but as the President he couldnt refuse to abide by the establishment consensus on such an issue, on the tiny tiny chance it turned out to be a real killer, and catastrophe ended up being laid solely on his doorstep (which it was a foregone conclusion it would be anyway, for political reasons).
But if your hate for Trump trumps all, and the endgame of demeriting him justifies the means as far as youre concerned, then by all means, continue on seeing it as you wish.
