You mean the same Kyrie Irving who put up 25-3-5 in the 2016 playoffs and 27-4-4 in the NBA finals?

He averages 27PPG in the finals and hits the biggest shot of the series. Plenty of superstars would love that as a sidekick. He's also a #1 pick and expected to be great.

What's more impressive is Kawhi turning a career g leaguer level talent Pascal Siakam into a 2nd option on a title team.

This. Shit ton is an exaggeration but there's definitely a few. Dirk, wade, isiah thomas and kawhi leonard to name a few. That said it was still impressive winning with kyrie as your second. Not because he's not talented enough to win with but because he's a flicking idiot. Have to deal with him all year would be mentally exhausting.

Kyrie averaged 19.6 PPG and .448% FGs, so his numbers were more like 20/3/5 on 45%. I love how Bran stans desperately try to act like LeBron had zero help in his career, even going as far as to downplay their co-stars' production in championship seasons.

Kyrie went on a rampage in the playoffs, putting up 25/3/5 on 57% TS%, then in the finals, he put up 27/4/4 on 56% TS% and hit the game winning shot in game 7. It was some of the best sidekick production we had seen in the NBA finals in the last 30 years.

In that playoffs, Kyrie ranked:

PPG: 7th
PER: 7th
OWS: 2nd
DWS: 4th
WS: 2nd
WS/48: 10th
OBPM: 8th
BPM: 9th
VORP: 4th

Kyrie didn't make the all-star team because he was incapable of doing so. He didn't make it because he missed 27 of the first 30 games of the regular season. Did you even watch that season at all or are you just using Bran stan logic to justify this apex of absurdity?

Kyrie was a top 5 player in that postseason.

A lot of people can win a with a teammate who's a top 5 player in the playoffs and the 2nd best player in the finals...

Bron has his Cleveland squad that year. Period.

Kyrie balled out in the successful moments in the Finals in '16 and '17. The only game they won in '17 Kyrie went bananas in the 2nd half.
