Almost every young player in the league has that problem, especially without a actual pre season. Has to learn the system

Worst thing he can do is begin to feel the pressure to score the ball and start heaving the ball. His go is to rebound the ball and lead a fast break with a killer pass. He is the type of guy who if he is to have a good first season would want a state line of around 8 pts, 10 rebounds, 8 assists a game.

His scoring game has time to improve and most likely will but for now he has to be that rebound/assist guy

Not really too sure a better passer of the ball has been drafted in the last 5+ years, but the league seems to care less and less about this attribute so will be interesting to see how he goes without being able to put up 15+.

Even if he completely busts, he atleast carves out a 10+ year career on his passing and rebounding alone

He's a ways away from being any kind of serious threat scoring wise. He can playmake, but if he wants to actually get minutes he's going to need to play some defense this season. No reason for him to be on the floor just to pass when they have a lot of guards and Hayward. On that note, they should have Hayward initiate the offense more. Only been one game so maybe he will, but he didn't much I saw here. Also, I don't think there's any chance LaMelo will average 10rpg. He won't play enough mins too and I don't he can anyway.
