He's literally the best onball defender in the league.

Lakers didn’t even realize he was on the team and won a title without him

Imagine quitting on the team that made the playoffs without you (13-1) and then watching them dominate the playoffs AGAIN without you (16-4)

Then imagine being so petty you bolt to the team that your ex-team just jizz ragged in the Finals

Avery is the epitome of loser mentality and wants no part of winning. Me first Me only player

Lakers didn't miss a beat without him

About as important as his loss was to the Lakers.

He misses 20 or 30 games every year. Maybe he fills in enough minutes to help their other guards stay healthy for the playoffs.

Everyone was worried that the Lakers didn't have anyone to guard small combo-guards like Dame Lillard and Dragic. Then we were all reminded, once again, that teams that depend on small combo-guards to carry the scoring load don't win titles because the small guys either get injured (Dragic, Chris Paul, etc.) or they give up as many points as they score (Steph in 2016, Lillard, etc). And no one can stop those guys from scoring anyway. A 6'2 stopper doesn't move the needle. Sorry.

But he will provide valuable depth. If and when he plays.

Honestly i thought losing AB was so huge but then KCP turned into a monster and Rondo became crazy where AB meant NOTHING to us lmfao. And he's a legit guard. I was a huge fan. When healthy, he's 1st team all D.

Well said brother.

He's literally the most overrated defensive player in the league you mean. Every team's defensive rating gets better when he doesn't play. One on one defense means so little now when you can't even play any real one on one defense anymore. What matters is team/help defense and doesn't impact the game in anyway in that regard. That's why his drating has always been so bad and teams get better in that regard when he doesn't play as better team defenders are now playing and making a bigger impact.

Remember that time when king kong stans used to think that without ab, the lakers were at peril in the wild wild west (myth), only to be proven wrong when they had a cakewalk because the team still had their two best players in the league?

Avery will be a good off-ball guard for Harden when Dragic is out of the game.

Bradley is not going to move the needle for the Heat that much.
