With Rudy Gobert defending the paint, 2 consecutive drives CP3 penetrated the paint and assisted a wide open Ayton to an easy layup. CP3 has been resting most of the game.
Just something to keep an eye out for when they come bust your favorite team's ass.

Jazz kept them under 50 for the half and that was just because of some stupid turnovers. Not sure how you get excited about that

cp3 has rested for most of the game. he plays like 4 minutes and goes to the bench. literally had the entire bench unit playing for most of the late 1st quarter as well. and you guys were kept under 50 too. tf u talking about?

For a supposed contender loaded with stars you make a lot of excuses. Jazz keep a team under 100 they will likely win.

Barring injuries, Suns will definitely make the playoffs. It'd be a let down of a season if they didn't.

they have a chance. Lots to prove. Certainly getting overrated by people thinking they are one of the top teams now. Hard to go from bad to great

I never said they were or a top or great team, but they have talent and they have Chris Paul so they should at the very least be on the right side of the W/L column if nothing else. People can say all they want about his playoff success, but he's one of most impactful players ever when it comes to the regular season. If he's as good and healthy as he was last year and top guys like Booker and Ayton stay relatively healthy it's impossible for me to see them missing the playoffs.

I agree Suns are overrated but Lakers went from nothing to champions. Cause we're the best.

The Suns played like shit, and I agree idk why this other Suns fan is acting so excited over games where we showed a few flashes at best and mostly played sloppy. But comparing them to the way the Jazz played is a terrible comparison IMO. The Jazz came into these 2 games healthy and with basically the exact same roster as last year. While the Suns had 2 starters and the 6th man sitting out in both games(Chris Paul sitting out first game, Cam Johnson sitting out 2nd game, Jae Crowder and Dario Saric sitting out both games), and on top of that they're basically damn near a whole new roster this season. The only guys who were on the team last season are Booker, Bridges, Ayton, Cam Johnson, Saric, and Carter. The other 10 players just got acquired by the team within the past 3-4 weeks and with a shortened training camp+preseason they have barely had any time/practice to work together. And especially with 3 of our 6 best players sitting out, I went into these preseason games expecting to play sloppy af and look like a work in progress rather than a finished product.
That being said, props to the Jazz for looking like a well-oiled machine out there, you can tell they picked right up where they left off since last season ended. They're definitely already ready for the reg season to start. But you all gotta chill out with the overreactions and stop taking these preseason games so serious. This is legit one of the worst years ever to take the preseason serious, and the Suns rn were one of if not THE most un-ready team going into it. Idk if any team had more new pieces, and it was very apparent in these games. Outside of Gallaway, the only guys in rhythm were CP3 and the 6 returning players from last year... most of the new guys looked lost. Give them some time to settle into their roles, learn the system, and build some chemistry. Then feel free to judge this team all you want. If they fall short of expectations(expectations for most seem to be playoff berth, 6th-4th seed, valuable playoff experience for the young core to grow), I'll be the first to criticize them for it.

i'm acting excited over a couple flashes bc of what you just said, these games don't mean shit. if booker dropped 50 tomorrow, i wouldn't think much of it. preseason has always been a public scrimmage. and i'm particularly excited about what i saw bc cp3 and ayton are going to exploit defenses quite often. xia yao is the one taking gobert's performance very seriously. i said from the beginning it's just a preseason game, win or loss nothing to take from it other than small little flashes of what can be. i don't even expect the suns to start playing well until a couple weeks.

That's kind of the whole point on everyone picking the Suns to be one of the best teams in the conference when there are many teams that they'd have to pass that have already done something

You don't think much of it but will make several threads about them! I'm not the one making threads about Gobert my man :facepalm
They wait a couple weeks and they might be in a big hole already.
