Anyone else have USPS packages/important mail that's been circulating in transit for over week+

Priority mail is delivery is now up to 10+ days instead of 2-3. Reg mail is taking up to weeks. I have 5 packages to family for X-mas that's just sitting in queue, which should have been delivered last Sat.

I looked up USPS baltimore and I guess over 300 employees have had COVID lol

Between covid, holidays, employee shortage and their politics, USPS has an unprecedented problem right now. Theres going to be a lot of kiddies upset this X-mas

The only sure fire way to send USPS is priority express @ $30 pop. Or UPS/FedX

I'm surprised the USPS delays aren't worse. Plenty of stories out there about a line up of 50+ tractor trailers sitting idle at processing centers waiting for their turn. :lol

UPS should be a nightmare soon too with them handling vaccine shipping. But damn if they and FedEx haven't been solid

It's the same distributing center that I have a couple packs jammed at, just a few miles away

Literally just rotting under some pile for 5 days

USPS, a government run entity, is not profitable and completely caves under systemic stress.

UPS and FedEx, privately run entities, are profitable and don't completely cave under systemic stress.

I must say, I'm very surprised at this turn of events. Nobody would ever in a million years guess this.

I've had a Priority package jammed up in Chicago since 12/5 :lol

I think Cleveland, Chicago and Baltimore are the unspeakably bad ones

USPS is so much less reliable than UPS. I've worked extensively in logistics, been this way since before the pandemic.

Depends on the size/weight

Always had better experience with envelopes/midsize through USPS, bigger packs through FX/UPS

while UPS and Fedex aren't a disaster like USPS, they're still a disaster. LOTS of work in my industry is delayed because our material is usually coming from out of state via freight shipping and they have been super late these past couple of months. when fedex says it's going to take a week, i assume 2-3 weeks.

I've seen USPS have huge problems finding warehouse locations, where it's a long row with multiple companies occupying a spot. And their customer service is garbage. They never correct the problem. Never seen this issue with UPS. And if you hound them, they fix the problem.

Had packs lost (stolen) through UPS, they hire on spot no background checks for part-time helpers. That's why tons of PS5's/XBX are disappearing from door pull up couriers using their own vehicles/vans.

Never had this happen with USPS

So your contention is that it's only the shipping companies that are causing logistical issues. Not sure I agree even in the slightest, but maybe!

Is Fedex still the most expensive of the 3? I recall few years ago that Fedex had become a huge ripoff over the years. I stopped using it due to the costs.

I use USPS unless if it is an expensive item then I go with UPS. I might look into Fedex pricing some day to see how it is.
I know there is also DHL, but never used it. I think Newegg used to use DHL quite a bit, but now I order everything from Amazon. Haven't used newegg in years

I also have a bad experience with Fedex. I returned a monitor once for RMA repair, and I insured it. A week later, Viewsonic received it (few days, mind you) and called me to tell me the box was torn / monitor physically damaged. I called FedEx and they did a runaround. I made the mistake of telling them I sent it in to get repaired. Then Fedex kept telling me it was broken when they received, refusing to pay the insurance money. I never got my money, and I have no clue what happened to the monitor. It's possible Viewsonic lied to me about monitor being physically broken when they received it. I don't know - never bought a Viewsonic product after that & Fedex left a bad taste. I have used Fedex a few times after that experience, but only because seller chose to go with Fedex.

I was supposed to have something delivered last Saturday as well, I think that's when shit officially hit the fan. Still haven't received :lol it was just glasses I ordered from overseas, they only ship USPS.

Usually I avoid getting anything delivered USPS that's a non letter because I trust my mailmen less than I do the UPS or the Amazon delivery people.
