It’s basically Stage 1 contrarianism. People reacting to belief in the bible/religion by running in the complete opposite direction to distinguish themselves, with zero contemplation put into the actual subject.

It’s the exact same phenomenon we see in politics, which is why the partisan divide is so easy to exploit.

Most atheists are really just people who think that the dominant Judeo-Christian-Muslim religious narratives are bunk. They don't actually believe there's no God because they haven't asked the question. They're just pretty sure that Osama bin Ladin and Joel Olsteen have it wrong, and they're ok with not inquiring any further.

If you really try to think through reality, you realize there has to be some kind of first principle, and that that first principle must possess many of the divine attributes of classical theology. But that doesn't mean the Old Testament gives a true historical record of that first principle's actions in human history.

I'm pretty sure the op was a joke because of the time of the year. It's become more acceptable to mock and ridicule religion during their holidays and this is turning it around. It's not that serious, you don't have to defend your beliefs.

Atheists are correct for now. We look around and it is pretty clearly the case that there is no God.

However, the question is this: Is it possible for a being to exist which can live forever, have a complete overview of nature and the universe (past, present and future), and the ability to control and direct natural events at will?

Maybe. Just maybe God will eventually exist.

This would solve bladefd's question "How could God come from nothing?" or to put it another way, God needs a story too. This universe we live in could simply be The Story of God.

The logical outcome of this way of thinking is that, we humans are not "God's Children" but rather "God's Grandparents".

So, to wrap this thing up, in order for God to exist, it is up to all of us as humans to simply continue on our path of evolution. To gain complete overview of nature. To live forever if we choose. To be able to exercise our will over physical matter and events.

That's what I came up with a while back......But I no longer care about this obsession with "God". Just because I have been raised in this Judeo-Christian-Muslim systen doesn't mean I have to waste my time with this crap. I solved it anyway as you can see above. This is the most rational way to proceed if you insist that God has to exist. The burden is on you and your decedants to make it happen.

I don't know what to believe in, but one things for sure. If there is a god, he isnt a god I'd want to worship.

Look at the cruel world that this god created. Children dying every minute, suffering in the world, animals eating eachother alive just so they can live another day.

If god was perfect, why couldnt he create a perfect world? Was he just too dumb to figure out a way?

They would not see me, hear me, or perceive my existence in any way. Nor could they consider the possibility of a camera tracking them, because they can not conceptualize cameras OR humans.
