trump calls out congress on the inflated covid bill that has 'little to do with covid'. THIS is what americans want to see - the president calling out BOTH sides of congress on their bullshit. this is the biggest 'drain the swamp' move yet. the establishment is not happy. i just hope he takes a hard line on this.

Great speech, Trump shows his populist instincts, but
-he's wrong about it being "china's fault" (it's the fault of all the politicians in charge, including him)
-still has us in his national state of emergency for a virus that hospitalizes at a lower rate than seasonal flu
-whatever gets done will still be shitty and only a tiny % will go directly to *some* Americans
-too little too late. $2700 checks for every man, woman, and child, straight up, no bullshit, should have been done in the summer.

$2k is better than $600, but its still a huge slap in the face for the countless small business owners who have had their american dream crushed as their years or decades of work dissolved into nothing due to the lockdowns.
The states should be required to reimburse 100% of the revenue lost by any business they forced into shutdown

Exactly why we should have stayed open all year or at the very least open 100% ASAP. We're already looking at FIFTY PERCENT of black-owned small businesses to be closed permanently due to this bullshit national emergency.

"Black lives matter"... except not the lives of black cops, or black conservatives, or black business owners.
According to the left, the only black lives that matter are the blacks who buy into the "anti-racist" left-wing narrative that blacks are pitiful/helpless and will forever languish in misery unless white saviors on the left pick them up and carry them to equity.

No, lets really call out those that tried to push this shit through the stimulus bill because they're the real scumbags.
New museums on the National Mall that will focus on Latinos and women, which were pushed by Sen. Robert Menendez (D-NJ) and Rep. Carolyn Maloney (D-NY).
Interesting, democrats in hard-hit NY care more for museums vs increasing public offering
$250 million over five years for Palestinian economic aid, which was pushed by New York Democratic Rep. Nita Lowey.
This is a very special scumbag that was so embarrassed she got caught trying to push this through that she bid farewell today.

Would be great to know who put which of the provisions in there, but there is zero transparency.
Lindsay Graham was defending the 10 mil for gender studies in Pakistan earlier, said "It's tough to be a girl there" or something similar.
They even had a provision in there that Trump wouldn't be able to make use of the Insurrection Act if he signed the bill amongst all this other crap :oldlol:

I think the main difference is the prior stimulus was a reaction to a legitimately unforeseen recession that caught even the people at the top off guard.
Whereas this bill and this pandemic are part of a predetermined, calculated plan to implement an array of unpopular changes, and is being attached to a phony pandemic to make it happen.

And in the swampiest thing ever, the bill, which is combined with a $1.4 trillion omnibus spending bill, is 5,593 pages long, or 5,583 pages too many, was given to lawmakers six hours before a vote to review what exactly is in it (hint: more pork than a Tyson Foods plant).

Nobody has time to read through all of it, let alone 20% of it in a week at most, so it's easy for anyone from either party to pass scam through and quickly force Congress members to sign it on basis of stimulus. It's a joke. This is how our budgets have ran amok last 50yrs with massive complex budget bills that nobody has time to read through.

Kind of foolish for them to combine the two bills rather than go with 2 separate bills.. Congress members are obviously trying to intentionally confuse things and unknowingly driving up public outrage. It's not helping their case.
When is the budget bill deadline? Fools have pushed everything off to the last minute and now are in a must-pass situation before they go on Christmas/New year break. Stimulus bill should have passed couple months ago and it should only be the budget bill right now. Fools brought it onto themselves

So let's review real quick.... a $900 Billion dollar bill, and we have a workforce of roughly 150,000,000 Americans.
and all we get is $600 dollars?
That's about 10% of the bill.
It only costs about $90 Billion to give every tax paying American over the age of 18 and making less than $75K. Only $90 Billion. Somebody check my math on that.
if anything, at the absolute bare minimum... 50% of that $900 Billion Dollar Bill should go directly into the hands of the taxpayers themselves (based on income), but we are settling for a mere 10%?
Wow we've lost our way completely. Do yourself a favor and give up any last bit of hope you had for this country and make your peace with God.

We could take the bottom 75,000,000 hard working tax paying Americans that work for slave labor wages... Give them about $7,500 in cold hard cash.... and it would only cost $562.5 Billion.
I still have about 338 Billion dollars to play with.... but those bottom 75 million Americans are now well taken care of.

bladefd, we paid people more to not work than work all year. terrible idea. we should have just cut everyone a check instead of screwing over "essential workers" who got paid less than people not working for months and months. essential workers got jacked.
the hospitals were ironically emptier this year than usual, so I guess they needed the cash? :lol
also, the "small business loans" as another poster pointed out in other threads went to large businesses and only a small % went to small businesses. most people on the left and right both agree the ppp was a shitshow. https://www.wsj.com/articles/ppp-was-a-fraudster-free-for-all-investigators-say-11604832072
60% applied for a PPP loan of which 26% received it (https://njbmagazine.com/njb-news-now/survey-81-of-us-small-businesses-lost-revenue-due-to-covid-19/) (including 41% of those in 100 – 499 employee sized companies and just 17% of under 25 employee companies)
and... that image is missing a mere $4 trillion?
https://nypost.com/2020/03/24/coronavirus-stimulus-package-to-exceed-6t-larry-kudlow-says/
The other $4 trillion will allow the Federal Reserve to make huge emergency bailouts of whatever entity it chooses — a measure that was used to prop up Wall Street firms from collapse during the 2008 financial crisis.
and all the forced small business closures and trillions in wealth being transferred to amazon, google, facebook, and big corps due to the gov't regulations.
again, Cleverness' plan is to give directly to the people - no bullshit.
6 trillion / 330 million = $18,000 to every American, including children

McConnell already got re-elected for another term. I don't think he is running again in 6yrs. I don't think he cares what Trump or his base says/does. What can they possibly do to him?

he'd find a way. i don't think anyone can argue that trump doesn't know how to make people look bad politically.

Lets see cvd19 here for like 9+ months , people out of jobs , and one CHECK comes from the government , and now this 2nd check shot down.
Well done Trump --- government is supposed to govern the people , and take care of them.
So how many unemployed ?
So how many are without housing ?
So how many are starving ?
It's Trumps watch , and he failed the lower and middle class. (Well done republican president)

Would you like to meet up?

MillerTime votes for the guy who has been in lockstep with the establishment for 50+ years.
Few weeks later “Hey we should really tear down the establishment.”
Amazing. :lol
I've always wanted to tear down the establishment. More so now than ever. Biden, Trump, Pelosi, Schumer, McConnell, Graham, Cruz. Fvck them all, oh and fvck you too you desperate loser. It's incredibly embarrassing how you want to fit in with the other alt-right incel losers on this website. Warriorfan dreams of one day being as big of a retard as Starface. What a goal!

Giving everyone 2k will just drive up the price of crack and heroin. Not really gonna do much. Take the 1400 and create jobs.
If you are not going to tax the wealthy, atleast demand they employ the people they dont pay tax on behalf of

This is classic Trump.
Great populist instincts, but led by swamp creatures.
Literally has had Fauci as the face of his coronavirus task force all year while keeping us in a National State of Emergency lockdown since March 13th.
And now another giant spending bill with a very tiny % directly to the people.

Even the leader of the American left, Bernie Sanders, was pressuring Trump to sign this POS. jfc :facepalm
"This bill is HORRIBLE! I'm going to veto this shit! Bring me something halfway decent for the American people."
*Days later*
"Just signed this GREAT bill for the American people. Some of you will be getting a $600 check! Relief is on the way! Stay locked down, order from Amazon, and mask up!"

house passed a vote for $2k but what are the chances the senate approves it? me thinks slim to none.
mitch mcghoul won't even bring it to a vote. in the meantime, we'll hear crickets from trump. trump got cucked by mitch on the $2k checks... how sad is that?
